Not in Minnesota until probably the end of April. And then, in the summer after the WC, there’s the skeeters and black flies.
Let's just say Bale did a lot more in his career and was much more of a physical specimen than James. Bale just didn't seem to like the sport anymore after dealing with the pressure in Madrid. He was an elite play much longer than James ever was. James had a couple good years in Porto and Monaco, which overlapped with that great WC. Bale was elite with Spurs and Madrid for a while (people tend to forget this) before falling off.
This is 100% correct. By the time he got to LA he just plainly didnt give a shit any more and didnt make much of an effort to hide it. But he was one of the greats, all time. And TBF, aside from the fact that he's a golf addict (and played, at least at the time, to a .5 handicap, which is professional level) his father was dying and he admitted that it made him realize what was really important in life and soccer just wasn't at the top of the list. He freely admits his focus was elsewhere.
The one thing they have in common is that they care A LOT more about playing for their respective countries now than they do their domestic clubs.
Not sure about Minnesota, but in northern MI, the black flies or typically really only early summer and are mostly gone after the 4th

I readily admit that I don't pay attention to other leagues... what's the problem with him, other than his age? I do hope that the hypocrite coach of Colombia isn't planning on starting him in the World Cup if he's playing in MLS, after pushing Cucho to get out...
Player survey. Very little Columbus or Crew players as answers https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/in...veyed-players-to-find-out/bltdef6065435089e6e
He had a couple good outings with the Nats a little while back; crickets since—with the Nats and with the Lakers.
Second most expensive player in league history, if add-ons hit the most expensive. Double, nearly triple, what Cucho cost us. Anyone think Sargent is double or triple the player Cucho is? I don't.
St. Louis CITY scored the first goal of 2026. https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/gola...l-hartel-scores-first-goal-of-2026-mls-season
Evander subbed out 10 minutes in with a non-contact "hamstring tightness." Denkey had a 1v1 with Atlanta's goalkeeper off a turnover and rang it off the post. Almiron had a shot off a turnover after Denkey spilled out of bounds and feigned an injury. That's the extent of Atlanta's offense today. Now a misplay by the Atlanta keeper in the box and Miles Robinson scuffs a ball into the lone trailing defender when he had an open net. The trailing FCC attacker would have also had an open net but he overran the rebound. 0-0 nearly 70 minutes in and it's completely deserved. Both these teams look terrible.
Cinci finally cashes in on a 2v1. The Atlanta keeper is horrendous, no wonder Guzan lasted so long down there.
Denkey converts on a 2v1 Atlanta got caught up the pitch Evander hurt early left match Denkey just took a dive Hope ATL finds a equalizer almost had one and Lateh goes down if not offside that’s a Pk
My two takeaways are 2026 Cincinnati is the same team as 2024 and 2025 Cincinnati, and Atlanta is a contender for the Anthony Precourt Memorial Wooden Spoon.
Michael bradley might actually be a good coach. Hate to say it. The young kids at NYRB are also very good
