    Bradley Carnell is out at Philly, just one year after winning the Supporters Shield and being named coach of the year.

    Is there a less significant award than MLS CotY? Seems like winning it is the kiss of death.

    The Fair Play Award comes to mind. It's so meaningless it stopped being awarded a few years ago.

    Oh, that would have been nice when I was gifted a pair of Patio 96 tickets. I would have enjoyed using them for the two Leagues Cup games I don't have tickets to.

    But watch a season membership be Jan 2027 to May 2028 with a higher cost per ticket than this year because people sure can commit to May 2028 in late 2026.

    The new Philly interim coach went to (and played at) my HS. I've not seen that before in the pro ranks in any sport, though we had a former coach also coach the Browns (Pettine).

    My knee jerk reaction was, "Damn that's a great hire." But after some more thought, a lot of his success in Philly was on the back of an elite academy system. In Austin, he'll have nothing to work with from the lower ranks; their pipeline is raw sewage. They still have no hope of winning trophies in any case, and that's enough for me.
