Musa is a problem. Ya know, he's a real contender for the scoring title. Thats's not rocket science. He's currently the league leader. Its a bizarre thing to see a center forward who is in line to make Croatia's World Cup roster.....................on FC Dallas? [He's been called up to their March camp with games against Colombia and Brazil.] Weird stat. The only player in Dallas history now with more than one hat-trick. That's kind of a weird stat, because they've had some goalscorers over the years. You'd have thought Kreis would have done that years and years ago.
Let's face it, with St. Louis' lack of scoring prowess, the first goal by Choiniere in the 73rd minute constituted 'the dagger'!
St. Louis CITY SC's Starting XI is decent, and they are growing into Damet's new system. The falloff from CITY's Starting XI to the two-deep roster is large. The roster seems fragile. CITY doesn't look like a Spoon contender, but also doesn't look like a playoff team. For a rebuilding season and a work in progress, they aren't the Titanic. LAFC's Starting XI and two-deep roster are exceptional. LAFC has the look of a strong defensive team with an above average offense, a strong identity, and a very real chance to raise the MLS Cup. If LAFC avoids the injury bug, they could be the rare team that snags both the Shield and the Cup. They are a very strong team.
This is one of those weekends where the NWSL team is going to have a bigger attendance in the same MLS venue. That's becoming much more regular for the Spirit. I don't see that becoming a Legacy thing, but BOS Nation has won this weekend.
Looks like I missed a goal while making a cup of tea. I guess it's appropriate it is the team that replaced the New England Tea Men that scored. New England 1-1 Cincy
Since yesterday's Charlotte-Miami nil-nil, all nine matches have had at least one team score 2 or more goals.
New England looking like world-beaters today. Good luck next weekend, St. Louis City...looks like they'll need it.
