That Miami attack was elite. But I would be grumpy with my defense were I a DCU fan for both the turnover and for not closing de Paul all the way once he took that touch to settle. I thought for sure he had missed his window by not shooting first time, but whichever defender that was stopped short of the ball.
Am I having a blast with this new-look RSL? It might not last, but it has been an unexpectedly damn fun start to 2026. Hezarkhani is the first guy I purposefully tuned into MLS Next to watch, and he has been a blast to watch here.
Dude, with you mentioning he was in MLS Next, I looked him up -- and he is 18?!? Dude looks like he is 35!
That happened in the offseason. Definitely looked 17 last year. Like Moisa this year. Wow, Gozo with a goal in exactly the manner he practiced all offseason.
Watching my Sounders on Apple. Christian Miles has matured a bit since back in the time he got fired for being a cross eyed vapid airhead spouting briticisms at every turn. He's actually almost good.
I switched to the St Louis local feed. It's the homer feed, but feels like actual play by play by someone who has seen/watched both teams play.
Basically no competent attack from the left from the Sounders. Management let Baker Whiting go because they continue to expect, any moment now, Nohou will suddenly turn into Jordy Alba on attack.
I saw Boeing signs in the St Louis - Seattle game and assumed Boeing was a league sponsor, but it's for St. Louis https://www.stlcitysc.com/news/st-louis-city-sc-takes-flight-with-boeing-partnership They might as well rebrand to McDonnell
In fairness to Christian, those were challenging broadcasting times. I remember one Champions Cup/League/Cup game from some godforsaken place when Keith Costigan, trying to call the game in the studio from a grainy feed, kept attributing every touch to the same player.
I think an aging Stefan Frei is probably still better than Andrew Thomas. But not for long, so his job now is mentor and back up.
