I'm a subscriber of Doug's and I'm not one to just ignore his potential sources, but having now watched the replay multiple times I'm saying it's a BS call. Galarza didn't tackle the keeper and he's allowed to stand his ground and move around. And it's not like keepers are to be treated like porcelain vases: They need to earn their path to the ball. I'm not blaming the ref for the loss and I know refs are human, allowed to have bad days, etc. But that's a bad call for what is billed as a contact sport and compared to other physical play that was deemed acceptable.
The Apple interface on a desktop is annoying in the fact you click the MLS banner and you need to be ready to click the “watch” icon right away or the first live game scrolls to whatever is on the next tile.
They've yielded 3 more goals than the top four teams in the West (SJ, Vancouver, LAFC, Seattle) combined.
Ball lied. I hate that penalty take. I'm one of those who would love a dead ball after a penalty save.
Interesting that this needed to go to on field review to show stutter happened past the ball, but they used encroachment as the bail out. I hate a retake in this situation still. It was close on my look for the goalkeeper coming off the line. He missed the second take off the bar!
I don't know which is worse: perma-penaltyball or Zivin and Twellman logorrhea, but the combo is insufferable.
All the talk of James and I can't remember for more than 5 minutes that he is in Minnesota and this is it for him in MLS.
