There are some questions about Chicago's new stadium, though: How much will McSeats cost at the new McStadium? Who will be the first player to get McFried by a ref by snagging the first mustard-and-ketchup? Will their experience there be a happy meal? Will their rivalries become Arch rivals?
Berhalter's methods translate far better to the club game than they do the International game. He gets to work with these players everyday, and that style of play becomes a well oiled machine. Similar to Wilfred Nancy, or Jesse Marsch (Klopp, etc.). He also can go out and get the exact type of players he needs for his system to be successful. At the national team level, coaches don't have that luxury. When Adams and Pulisic weren't available, GGG's teams struggled.
There’s wealthy and then there’s wealthy. Joe Mansueto is worth near $5 billion while Jay Sugarman is worth maybe 10% of that.
And of course Stan "I own a MLS team?" Kroenke is worth almost $27 billion and is the country's largest private landowner.

Vincent Janssen is confirmed to be leaving Antwerp. Still linked with both clubs in the desert and MLS. Antwerp will have his sendoff this Sunday and has played 172 matches with 64 goals.
Inter Miami and LA Galaxy been chasing Casemiro since March, as reported previously.Miami close to landing the Brazil int't, who is out of contract this summer. Would join after World Cup. https://t.co/JBbeXAXdeP— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) May 20, 2026
The pay cut Casemiro has to take for Miami to be cap compliant with him is insane. I would love to know the workings behind convincing him to take a 95+% pay cut to come to MLS.
You've made a lot of money in your career and this pay cut is only temporary as after this season the roster rules are changing and MLS is adding more DP players. Do this and you get to play with Messi and have a shot at two titles in less than a year.
That has always been my take when it comes to this type of situation. A player who has already made his fame and fortune sees that the end is near and figures what better way to wind things up than to play in a league with little to no pressure, play with Messi and live in South Beach for a year or two.
Could also be a DePaul situation where he takes a TAM deal the first year then it escalates next season (a lot)...didn't they want Neymar as well at one point?
MLS isn't adding more DPs when not every team even uses them all. I'm curious how they'll do it. He can go to Brazil and make millions or stay in Europe still making more than what MLS can offer which is just $1.8M. Saudi is another option. I just don't buy the "he already made enough so he'll settle for less" when you can settle for less but still be more than what Miami can offer without a DP spot.
For next season you mean? If I had to guess probably Berterame yeah, he still would have some value with the Mexican teams (though honestly they should drop DePaul, he's sleepwalking half the time out there).
What I’m curious about is, how can you be so certain??? You’re just a fan like us, not some kind of insider.
He'd only be here for HALF of this season. They can easily make him max TAM player for this half season. The first part of 2027 will be the spring season, so that''s essentially a half season, so they could make him a max TAM player for that too. Summer of 2027 the new rules kick in and then Miami can offload some players and contracts that no longer fit and give Casemiro a fat raise for the 27/28 season.
Because he only reads what is convenient to him. There are several posters just like him here. Someone says some suspect stuff then someone else replies and they go after the one that replied.
The fat raise will be a DP contract. No other way around it. Berterame still has value in Liga MX maybe he'll be sold? If so, he'll leave at a loss. No way they'll pay close to $15M for him. And, that would open up a new "need" for Miami if they do so just to fit in Casemiro. They'll need a CF, a good one at that. They'll have to get rid of one good player to fit in another one. If I had to choose between RDP and Berterame I'm getting rid of RDP. Unfortunately can't keep both but to me RDP looks like he just came here for vacation.
