The top nine in the Western Conference are already scary, sitting on piles of GAM, and getting stronger. It's early in the season, but at the current pace, the last playoff team in the West may have 51 points.
51 points is a stretch I'd say. The top 4 teams in the West (LAFC, Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego) are clearly above the next tier of teams. That next tier is going to take points off of one another all season long, plus quite a few draws as well. Outside of Kansas City and that top 4, the rest of the West is very, very similar. Plus teams are going to lose players after the World Cup as well. I see the last 4 in being in that mid to upper 40 point range.
I agree, though the number should be above the traditional 42-44 point line. (The last five seasons in the West, most recent to oldest, the ninth team has finished with 41, 47, 44, 43, and 45 points.) Still, for those of us clearly below the top nine level, it's going to be a very long season. We're going to beat up each other too, only in between receiving our thrashings from the top nine.
Cincy having (very) early discussions with Neymar's camp: 🇧🇷 Sources: FC Cincinnati engage Neymar's camp on preliminary talks.Very preliminary. Still internal discussions at club about whether to push for the global superstar... but Cincy is gauging Neymar's interest/requirements.w/ @PaulTenorio https://t.co/X1IgY32feP— Tom Bogert (@tombogert) April 9, 2026
How many DP spots does FCC currently have open? Oh that's right....ZERO. So who gets moved? Evander, Denkey or Miles?
So FCC would play Evander AND Neymar on the field at the same time? They're already conceding goals at an alarming rate (and that's before you factor in the millions of dollars they have committed in defense). From a neutrals perspective it would be entertaining. For Cincy fans though?
Yeah this was a guy who was accused of not taking his career seriously while playing under the brightest most intense spotlight in the world at Barca and PSG. How's he going to act in MLS?
He should have been the most agricultural center half in the world. Then we could call him Denkey the Donkey. We can still call him that when he shanks one. Some creative away fans should practice hee hawing like a donkey, just in case.

Given the end of player for player trades in MLS, I suspect his record of 12 clubs will never be matched. And he wasn’t even an MLS lifer! He played in Europe for a bit! Unreal!
I don't know, Frankie Amaya is only 25 and is a third of the way there (CIN, NYRB, LAFC, MON). Kei only had 3 at that age.

DC United have signed Andre Dozzell as a free agent from Portsmouth on a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd. He'll join July 1 and take an international roster spot (for now).

With the new mechanism for intraleague sales, to me the obvious move would be to sell Cuypers if they sign Lewandowski. I’ll go so far as to suggest intraleague sales make it more sensible for a club to go after a truly elite player like Lewandowski.
