SKC looking to spend over $40M in transfer fees plus whatever salary Salah demands if he comes to MLS? That would be a new bar set specially coming from a "small market" team.

SKC owner

 

I was thinking the same thing but the got away from name players and went with players in their prime which resulted in winning the Cup. Puig, Pec & Paintsil were all under 26 when they signed with the Galaxy.

 

The new SKC owner is the son of Egyptian immigrants. Signing Mo Salah tracks pretty well with that bit of context.

 

Low key I like these types of moves. Move domestic players around where they'll get playing time or where someone else might need them more than their current team.

 

Hopefully he's OK will leaving his home town and moving across the country. He got engaged last October.

No and don't tell me that is what 7-13 will be about. After looking it up, DC happened last year but the announcement was July 16, 2025. I think you just came across what they will be announcing tomorrow. The Union are one of the teams.

 

I saw somewhere where a guy mentioned everyone is getting themselves all worked up over the announcement that next years All Star Game is going to be played in Miami.

Sounds about right to me.

 

Actually it's not even that good. The big announcement is they are going to market MLS more. That's it, some celebrities, a couple feel good stories and some commercials on local tv.

 

Ah, the ol' marketing plan to announce they're going to go with a new marketing plan!
