Just depends on if Mills wants a career in Washington.

Mills is 77, I really hope they can recruit someone younger.

Starting to wonder if Dems have already hit their high watermark in Arizona.

May be Collins will not run at all….

“Democrats have one big hope as they scramble to find a top-tier recruit against GOP Sen. Susan Collins in Maine: Maybe she won’t run at all,” CNN reports.

“Collins, the lone New England Senate Republican, who is at the peak of her influence over 28 years in the chamber, has fended off one Democratic foe after another in hard-fought races to hang on to her seat. And again, her seat is pivotal in the Democrats’ uphill climb back to the majority.”

“But Collins, 72, has yet to make a formal announcement that she’ll run in what will almost certainly be a bruising battle for a sixth term. And high-profile potential Democratic candidates, like Gov. Janet Mills and Rep. Jared Golden, are weighing their next moves as they await the veteran senator’s final decision”

    Maybe not…

    Per your article

“It’s certainly my inclination to run and I’m preparing to do so,” Collins told CNN late last week. “I very much enjoy serving the people of Maine. I’ve obviously not made a formal announcement because it’s too early for that.”

Mills, those sources said, was noncommittal on a run and has publicly downplayed the idea that she may try to take on Collins.

Many Democrats do not believe Golden would run against Collins out of principle, since she is his former boss

    Per AJC

Gov. Brian Kemp and President Donald Trump met quietly Saturday in Washington to discuss unifying behind a Republican Senate candidate in Georgia, according to four people with knowledge of the discussions

Well.....Good luck Elise, you will have your work cut out for you in NY.

“President Trump is taking steps to clear the Republican primary field for Rep. Elise Stefanik to run for New York governor, bolstering an ally once poised to serve in his administration,” Axios reports.

“Trump last week endorsed two of Stefanik’s potential rivals for governor — New York Rep. Mike Lawler and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman — for re-election to their current posts.”

Huge fans of hers. NY is a tough haul though.

I could see her as VP on the Vance or Rubio ticket, and hopefully eventually President herself.

Maine Democrats sure seem to be very afraid of Collins.

North Carolina is looking like it may be the easiest pickup for Democrats, but as the Supreme Court race showed us, Republicans will use everything they can to not lose the seat.

    Sen. Tillis
    Favorable 26%
    Unfavorable 46%

Any 26% favorable, Tillis is cooked. Hopefully Cooper will run.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) will have a progressive primary challenger in 2026.

Even though he’s cooked, it’s still 50/50 which party wins the seat, right?

Yes because the R registration gap compared to D’s in NC continues to increase, and I assume Trump will campaign for whoever the R nominee is. So likely will be a toss-up.

D’s need Cooper to run for sure. At this point it’s their only legitimate pick up opportunity while R’s target pick ups in Georgia and Michigan.

Jared Golden passes on a Senate run against Susan Collins in favor of battling it out in his swingy House district again

Susan Collins, girl scares the shit out of Main Democrats.

The Hamas- Socialist wing of the Democrat party should put up a candidate, if all other moderates are scared, let the hard left take a shot at this seat.

If they are not too crazy, I may throw a few bucks their way.

That might work in a primary, but would be devastating in a general. Only an Angus King type would be able to beat Collins.

Maine Dems know their state and they are running as fast as they can from this race.

What primary, every Democrat in Maine is running away.

The far left should go rob the empty primary house.

They probably could since it wouldn't cost that much. Now beating Collins with that resume in a general would be a steeper slope.

Gideon lost to Collins by 8.5 pts in 2020, and that was with her moderate appeal and an unpopular post-COVID Trump. You risk losing even more of those moderates if you put up a far left candidate.
