Surprising thing to me was watching the French just play the last twenty minutes as if this was a regular season match instead of a World Cup semifinal. The French just had no intensity whatsoever, as if their morale had crumbled completely. That's behavior I expect from lesser footballing nations like Colombia, or Mexico in other editions of the tournament.

It's now three-for-three competitive games were this French team hasn't beaten this Spanish team. It gives, as the kids say, loser vibes.

I don't consider the Spain game a steamrolling though...it was a suffocation. A complete game. Also proof positive that the US argument that "if our best athletes played..." is fcuking stupid. An undersized Spain beat one of the most (if not the most) athletic team in the tournament.
