He had an affair with a team mates, partner, is a racist, his brither had an affair with a team mates wife, the team mate committed suicide, his mother and mother n law were done for shoplifting and his dad sold cocaine. Numerous stories of him getting drunk in nightclubs and urinating into champagne buckets. A lovely family.
Lol the commentator immediately “no penalty!”.. lol what a wanker That’s a crazy succession of events, though.. Beckham almost scores the 3-2, Argentina instantly counters, they commit a penalty against Cruz (not called), and then England counters from that and scores the winner. Just pure drama.

Not sure what the hell they’re basing their claim on, but according to Ole Argentina will not repeat the same 11 that played vs Egypt/Switzerland They claim that not only will the starting XI not be the same, but that he may even modify the formation. Did Scaloni have this ace up his sleeve the whole time and was just waiting for the right moment to use it?
Does 2 nil qualify as a battering? Seriously, I've got to stop reading this twitter rage bait, it's very bad for my blood pressure. 🚨🏴 Troy Deeney: "I think we’ll BATTER Argentina. We’ll win at least 2–0, comfortably."At the back, they’re all over the place. Their central midfielders aren’t controlling anything. They only have Messi." @talkSPORT pic.twitter.com/2XJA21fBSS— All About Argentina 🛎🇦🇷 (@AlbicelesteTalk) July 13, 2026
I take that stuff with a pinch of salt, heard similar before Egypt and Swiss games only for the same line up. We'll find out on Wednesday
You do realize that they put these pundits on these shows specifically to make these type of “controversial” comments so people like you could react and give them views/revenue, right? Lol All banter on these talk shows is irrelevant. Now if the actual England squad starts saying things like that, it’s a different story. Regardless, I agree with the English commentators who have criticized Argentina’s midfield and defense. If England or Brazil’s midfield/defense had been putting in the type of performances we’ve been putting this WC, you can bet your bottom dollar that everyone here would be like “England/Brazil are overrated, we will run them over if we face them”. Soooooo
🚨Lionel Scaloni tried out Giuliano Simeone yesterday in training. The chances of him starting against England has increased. #Argentina pic.twitter.com/OUge9Sr4eD— CA VA🐐 (@psg__chief) July 13, 2026 It would be so good if this is true
All according to plan, give them false sense of confidence then hit them with the real deal. Classic long game bait and switch by General Scaloni.
Yeah, I know. Talksport is entirely based on rage bait, I'm old enough and ugly enough to not get wound up by it. I should know better.
This would be my starting XI Nico G.--------Alvarez-------Messi ----------Lo Celso-------Palacios -------------------Paredes Tagli-----Lisandro-------Romero-----Molina Can easily change to either a 3-5-2 or a 4-4-2 during the game. --------------Alvarez---Messi Nico G.---Lo Celso---Palacios----Molina ---------------------Paredes -------Tagli--------Lisandro-------Romero ------------Alvarez---Messi Nico----Lo Celso---Paredes----Palacios Tagli-----Lisandro----Romero----Molina

The weird thing is we've seen this team won all 4 qualifier matches where Messi wasnt there including againts Uruguay and Brazil. We won CA final after Messi was injured. You could see the other players suddenly became much more creative (even Almada) , the pressing became more intense because subsconsiously they knew they couldnt rely on Messi's magic and the team has extra man to press.
It should be noted that England has not beat any powerhouse team at WC knockout stage since.... 1966.
This is the same guy that gave a red card to the Cameroonian player who celebrated his 93rd minute winning goal against Brazil last WC lol He’s also the same guy who gave Brazil 2 PKs vs Norway in this edition
You need at least One of Simeone and Nico. Our transitional defending is where most goals are leaking. It's also crazy that Barco who in very short time had a very good cameo and Lo Celso had not seen any time since then. Enzo, Mac and Messi have just accumulated so much time. I think top ones this WC. They would be much better subs.
Might have to drop a striker and play Messi as a false 9. With Messi not defending there needs to be another player in midfield maybe a 451.
At his age, Messi wont be fast enough to outsprint opponent defenders. He's more unpredictable playing as free roaming FW or even as a right winger. Even Alvarez goal sequence started from Messi long range which was blocked and bounced into our player. We wont be able to utilize his long range shot & magical pass if he play as 9.

You could see how fast Almada in our last counter against Switzerland. All it takes to kill the game is replacing the main 3 midfielders & Molina in second half with Giu, Lo Lelso, Barco or Paz. I dont understand why Scaloni keeps looking for a dramatic win. We'd absolutely win these past 3 games comfortably if he refreshed the midfield with fresh legs early in second half.
