That was all caused by the stupid pass he got. Cuti is the best defender in the world. I dont care if he does nothing at that garbage club

So many people on TV blasting Tuchel for going defensive; which is the correct criticism, but only partially IMO.

Its not so much what Tuchel did, its also what Scaloni did in the chest game. Brilliant substitutions and how he maintains flexibility.

Guys, I'm speechless and my voice is gone. Just amazing. What huevos. With the pre-game pity party going Englands way "oh they've suffered and overcame a lot in this cup!" and the repeated play of Maradona's goal in 86, you knew what the message was, but it didn't phase our boys. Scaloni did it again. Perfect subs.

    Copium in the England forum:

And of course Tuchel is taking all the blame… not their players, nor do our guys deserve any credit. If only they had Southgate, apparently they would be playing the final on Sunday even though he flopped at two WCs and was their previous scapegoat… go figure!

A bit harsh on Murray. I've stopped watching womens tennis years ago. And rarely watched mens tennis until the late stages when Rafa, Federer, Murray and Djoko and del Potro before the injury served up some exciting tennis. The artistry in tennis is gone. Bring back wooden rackets and we'll see who has real skill.

At the risk of being sad when one should be happy I think 2014 and 2006 were real missed opportunities as well. But hey ho lets get the job done on Sunday.

Looking back. This is the sort of match that for the winner attains mythical status in years to come. For the loser it becomes a real scar.

Have to say apart from Molina sorry to single him out they all played well. Our players seem to be peaking when it matters.

Enzo and Alexis had their best games, Julian looked really sharp, Nico G too and Messi at times was his 25 year old sprinting to cover the ball. Tags ever reliable at the back and getting forward.

The blame here is for Tuchel but with not enough credit for how hard Argentina made the England players work hard and forced them back. They just tired them out and they didn't have the capability to break out. As loco said it could have ended up a goleada.

We passed crisply and at speed and switched with ease. The subs all came off so credit to Manna as well for his analysis and Scaloni for bringing those players on.

Someone does need to have a word with Barco. He really has a fiery streak in him. I'm sure Scaloni will.

And now after scapegoating the manager, it looks like the English have proceeded to phase 2: somehow blame the ref and say he favored Argentina all game long.

It really is just as amazing as it is predictable. I’ve been seeing pictures circulating online about Messi allegedly stepping on Spence right foot before the second goal, and everybody’s outraged. Even here in other BigSoccer subforums the fools are falling for it. Yet anyone who watched the effing match knows that Messi hopped over his foot.

    IMG_4809.jpeg

    IMG_4808.jpeg

I swear these gullible numnuts lack a single brain cell between all of them combined. The worst part is they don’t make the minority, but rather the majority of spectators. Everybody goes around parroting all this bs without actually double checking (like the social experiment someone did where they used AI to swap Switzerland and Argentina’s jerseys when they stepped on Nico Gonzalez in the QFs and got millions of reproductions calling for our heads) and unfortunately as such this bs narrative that Argentina has been favored incredulously keeps growing. It’s the age of misinformation, amigos

Really Argentina contra EL MUNDO. We’re talking about one of the greatest teams of all time, yet the discrediting campaign is in full force in a blatant attempt to smear unprecedented glory.

Everytime they lose the excuses are the same. They said this when Italy beat them, and even when Spain beat them. It's just noise. No need to pay attention to noise. I have my noise cancellation ear buds in:

Imagine Argentina had complained.. the ref would have been obligated to give the red, no choice… I’m actually glad we didn’t, because even though we would have been in the right, we would have never heard the end of it with the allegations. “Just give messi the cup already blah blah”

I mean regardless they’ll come up with some other unbased claim to complain about, but at least there isn’t that extra fuel for the flame. Glad we beat them without penalties or reds so they can keep their damn mouths shut
