Scaloni, you deserved criticisms for the past 3 KO games but today you made all the correct calls.

Starting with Simeone on the right side and having the false 9 Messi and then making all the correct subs.

The best international coach of all time, no one can take that away from you.

    Thank you mister

Another Scaloni, surely. The Scaloni I know on here is a terrible coach.

Big props to Cuti Romero for being one of the coolest cucumbers out there today. He tried to get Simeone to back off Pickford, but Simeone didn't listen and wasted the corner.

There were a few other skirmishes where Romero came in and calmed things down. The complete opposite of what the English media makes him out to be. Hats off to Cuti. Great game.

Also shout out to Otamendi for coming in and making clearance after clearance in the final minutes.

So proud of our team today.

For some reason Cuti is always a lot more mature for us. Thank goodness

I get the criticisms that he got but my word. Some of the posts about Scaloni in this forum were outland embarrassing to read. A disgrace even.

There are people out there already trying to defend Bellingham, saying he “probably” reacted like that because Barco said something racist or something.

I mean the amount of hatred we’re getting is unprecedented. I’ve legit never see any other team be so quick to be accused for everything. Even when we’re the victims, it’s somehow our fault

To be fair, those people are smaller percentage. But salty minorities are always have the loudest bark. Because of the nature of the internet, hatepost can easily spread like wildfire.

Everywhere I go in past few weeks in my city, all I see is Argentina jerseys in various places.

WE DID IT BOYS! I have to give you guys props for having to go through this emotional roller coaster. Every match in the KO has become so mentally draining.

Its the same old story though. Too many avoidable situations.Molina was horrible today, got nutmegged multiple times, beaten too easily, poor positioning. He can’t start next match SERIOUSLY. Montiel did more with his dead legs.Simeone gave everything and did a solid job pressed well and tired them out. Wasnt as effective offensively but made sure to protect useless Molina. Same approach vs Cucurella could work. Paredes and Cuti were outstanding, Tagliafico rock solid as always and Lautaro clutch once again. VAMOS ARGENTINA!!

Its like a lite version of Zidane headbutting Materazzi. Except Zidane did get punished.

This type of behaviour shows you that England just wont survive at Conmebol qualifier. If you dont have thick skin, you'd be absolutely bullied.

Look at how Argentina handle the hostile environment at Maracana, instead of complaining they returned from the tunnel and beat them.

England can only beat their opponents through pundits talk and social media comments.

Messi gave his 20s to Barca and his 30s to Argentina. Completing international football after the age of 33 is just remarkable. As good as he was in his 20s he has played at a genius level in his 30s knowing he has to use his magic to make things happen and not his legs.

The oldest outfield player to start a world cup was Klose who was 37 in 2014.
Messi at 39 with smash the record and it will likely never be broken.

    Thomas Tuchel before the game

"We are not here to congratulate him. We are not here to build him a throne. We are here to take the game away from him"

Appearently he's talking about Harry Kane:)

the best part is the English broadcast instantly coping that it might be offside for 2 minutes when the ref gave no indication instead of talking about how good the strike was.
