The draw for the first round (group stage) will be held on 13 December 2024, 11am BST.

    Draw procedure
The draw will start with Pot 1 and complete with Pot 5. A team will be drawn and assigned to the first available group (based on draw conditions) in alphabetical order. Each five-team group will contain one team from each of the five pots, while each four-team group will contain one team from each of the first four pots.

Norway and Sweden will be the only teams I'm wary of

Greece just gave us two hard games. Any team in Pot 2 should be respected at least.

But I would put Norway and Sweden ahead of the others due to their world class attackers

I just don’t want to draw Sweden as it would cause all sorts of family drama…….

What happened when H Maguire scored that great header at WC 2018?

You have you wish. Sweden are in group B. With the top seed in that group being Switzerland.

Serbia in our group. Not the easiest team from that pot and again a team we have only just had,

    Albania the third team.

The Serbia vs Albania matches are going to be very intense for those two teams.

Im surprised that they can play each other

World Cup qualifying in general is a lot more dull now that 48 teams qualify.

It’s 16 UEFA teams. 16 UEFA team qualifying for 1996-2012 Euros wasn’t often dull.

If they don’t Tuchel will be finding it hard to get a big job anywhere again.

The Nations League quarter-finalists can basically choose the group they end up in by losing. Seems a ridiculous scenario to create.

They had fewer groups, and the groups had 6/7 teams in which made it more interesting.

I thought travel came into it? We play the whole group basically in Eastern Europe

It’s not total travel but certain specific distances .
