Spain, Brazil, Netherlands, and Belgium couldn't win their opening matches, and we're supposed to be upset we got an ugly win in World Cup? Nah.
Brazil, Netherlands and Belgium had good opponents. If we play like we did vs South Africa against South Korea or Czech Republic, it could haunt us. I'm glad we won but how we played left a lot to be desired, particularly against such a weak opponent. No harm in being objective about the performance even if the result was good.
As long as they make the necessary adjustments, I think we'll be OK but losing Montes could be problematic since we don't have a lot of cover at CB
I don’t expect Korea to play the same style of South Africa. The game will be a bit more open and I expect some adjustments to who will start for this game
To be fair, I don't give a shit how those teams do. I care about how Mexico does. And Mexico should be pounding a team like South Africa into oblivion
South Korea looked gassed after the last match. I would love to see Mora come on against tired legs. He does not fear or shrink. He has a winning mentality even if he's still somewhat green.
Mora is rumored to start but I would also prefer he come in the 2nd half The mid with Fidalgo, Lira, & Brian is good. And with Korea being a much more open team I expect Fidalgo & Brian to shine
Edson is coming back from a injury, isn’t in form, and is prone to make stupid mistakes or draw needless cards It’s a lose-lose situation
Didn't Iran have to fly in today? Not trying to make excuses for them but I can't imagine that helps them if true...
We keep doing this to ourselves and shitting on our team. When teams park the bus or very defensive, we have never been great at breaking it. So winning was a positive, especially in the WC. Look at Spain. We always play better when teams open up, so I expect us to look better in Korea game.
