If you could walk away when Morocco are attacking, that would be appreciated.

Maybe, maybe not? None of the teams in this group are prolific scoring teams. So that likely means only two teams are advancing. Canada has never won a World Cup Game, and only scored twice (three when you include the own goal in 2022). The margins are going to be reazor thin to get out of the group.

They've never had home advantage before. They need to beat Qatar and draw with the Swiss and they'll be at home in the knockouts.

Hopefully Alfonso Davies will be available by the time they play Switzerland.

OK Met Life is surrounded by marshes, not swamps.

Marshes are dominated by non-woody plants like grasses, reeds, and sedges. Swamps are dominated by trees and woody plants, resembling flooded forests.

Either way there are a lot of mosquitos.

I guess those things only work for a certain period of a time.

Late dramatics here like KOR-CZE for a winning goal, or a stoppage time score like QAT had today against SUI?

I think Casemiro's DP salary dropped significantly tonight.

He'll probably end up in Saudi.

Gabriel and Diop have made errors that Ream would get crucified for.

Good match between BRA and MAR. CONMEBOL and CAF are still winless. Up next: HAI vs. SCO. Can Haiti keep CONCACAF's unbeaten record going? Will Scotland pick up UEFA's first win of the tournament?

I know it's still early, but I did not expect to see UEFA and CONMEBOL winless in their (combined) first five games.

Any chance of Mexico, Canada, the US and South Korea in the semis?

Remember when ESPN would show commercials during the anthems? I can live with a water break.

I think those Scottish fans have proven that people have travelled from overseas for this World Cup.

Frantzdy Pierrot was a Boston Globe "All-Scholastic" in basketball at Melrose High School, but the Haitian-American football stars come from a few towns over in Everett.
