I can see it now...when MLS transitions to more matches in cold weather locales, it will be a hot chocolate break!
Canada unlucky not to score, due to the goal line clearance by Bosnia off the crossbar. Then Bosnia unlucky not to score due to the good play by Crepeau. Fun start to the 2nd half.
Yeah, this really picked up. I don't think Laryea has had a good game but that little move in the box prior to the shot was excellent.
I was thinking the same thing in the first half, but every time Canada got ready to shoot, the Bosnian defense closed them down rather quickly.
For the second time in this game, the announce team mentions the the first three games tomorrow, but no mention of the last game of the day between Australia and Turkiye? And finally...Canada have a breakthrough. Deserved too. Why teams play like BIH after they get the lead and piddle around allowing the opponent to dictate play practically all the time is something I don't get.
I think Canada have dictated the pace from the start. They just lack a bit of quality in the final pass.
My guess would be because Australia - Turkiye are the "next day" on the East Coast, given it starts at midnight (IIRC). Their schedule probably doesn't list it for the correct day.
Canada's first ever World Cup point puts them in a good place for moving on to the round of 32, provided they beat Qatar.
I can stretch and justify them when they're at the extreme elevations and bad air of places like Mexico City and Guadalajara. ********. This is me just now realizing that too.
