Who should have been swapped out though aside from RDP? we criticize Enzo and Mac a lot but at the end of the day I’m not sure if the bench options are better than those 2 even in their current forms so the only guy should have been maybe RDP replacement. It just so happens he picked simeone lol. I think Palacios would have done better I can see why Paz had no space cuz with Messi on you can’t have another luxury player. You need the workhorses to do the dirty work
Scaloni just ignoring Senesi’s existence for 100 years when we needed him, but randomly when we need to score against Spain: “Lautaro, decile a Senesi que se prepare que hoy se convierte en heroe!”
I'm saying about doing more rotation, not dropping Enzo & Mac altogether. Those two has been playing too many minutes for many matches.
Probably the last of Paredes on the team. Will miss the goat. I dont think both Enzo and Mac should play. They are too similar now
I'm kind of sad and depressed and accepting of it but sad because of all the previous highs and heroics of the squad. Not by the loss but by the manner of the loss and the fact that most of our players played well and gave it their all. More bemusement at the tactics of the manager. Few teams get to World Cup finals and as other teams get stronger it will probably get harder and to play so negatively it was like Tuchel mark two on display. As for all the losers and haters who have already crept out of the woodwork I suggest they go and take a hike and look at how terrible their own teams were. Seven finals out of the 20 WC tournaments we have entered. But still disappointing we don't have more stars. Think tonight was a real missed opportunity.
They really deserved that one with how much they pushed. It looked like they could have pulled off another for a brief 10 minutes. I lament that Latauro didn't get on, but I understand the decision, just wondering if it could have been different if we pushed earlier. No need to cry over spilled milk. Spain was better. We're still the best in our hearts!
They are tight knit group and focus more on individual players and other specifics and knock ideas about. Scaloni is the main man with the chief analyst Manna. Ultimately it's down to him.
I put this more on Nico G and RDP offering no support to Mac and Enzo. Enzo 100% to blame for the red card. I just don’t understand what the strategy or tactics were going into this game.
The plan: Nico Elephant touch in first half Then Simeone Elephant touch in second half Then Molina to gift a goal
The biggest question: How do we decide to attack and actually play with 10 minutes left and a man down amd create 2 near goal opportunities but cant do it for 90 minutes with 11 men??????
Same here. Can't stand to see the grinning Gallegos poncing about as if they invented passing football. A look at their results and maybe just the 2-0 win over France stands out and even then thanks to a moment of carelessness from Digne handed them the initiative. Other teams will work them out. Remember 2010 ? It was supposed to be Spain forever.....
I think Scaloni was hoping to bring them on and hit a long ball on the counter....or play for penalties.... Nico G if he could control the ball had Julian completely free in the middle on one such.
