There are no longer any acceptable outcomes to this World Cup.

I say we call it off.

Exactly. If it was in South Africa I could turn it off. With it in the US it's inescapable.

I've got two left: one of my nationalities along with the country of my childhood. 50% chance!

    Even I don't want England to win....or Argentina...or France...or Spain.

    Can we just start over?

Would the results be much different than they are now? Just for historical fun, I'm looking forward to a potential Normans vs. Saxons affair to be settled on neutral turf, a mere 960 years after King Harold Godwinson took that arrow to his peeper.

We could have a proper language where the -ough in rough, cough, dough, thought and borough were all spelled differently.

What have the Normans ever done for us?

I can't believe the most CONCACAFy of all the CONCACAF refs in the tournament is getting a semifinal.

@xtomx will be ever so happy to hear Stu Holden will be serenading him with fluff about the star players!

    Telemundo is our friend.

A step down from his last pre-WC assignment, but not everyone can handle a game at the Dick.

At this point in his career gives me the energy of the “quick priest” at mass. The one everyone wants: in & out. Get your cookie and go.

I was referring to Ivan Barton getting the other semifinal.

Since I am in Bratislava today and will be Ljubljana, Slovenia at match time, I will unfortunately miss Stu Holden (the little twerp) and will be forced to listen to the dulcet tones of the Slovenian broadcast.

They’ll probably make annoying cross references to Tadej Pogačar effectively winning the Tour de France in week one. And who could blame them, really?
