This is 10x better. Like what I posted previously in this thread, no kowtowing and free expression. ;)

I have to say I didn’t recognise Lauren Hill, must have been a long time ago the last time I saw her perform.

Any and all attempts to americanise the spectacle around football have always come across and never gone down well.

Everyone will keep trying because the money on the table from getting America more into the sport, and the only way they have to do that is try and make a wider entertainment spectacle which invariably is always aimed at Americans who don't care about the sport.

Who is she? She seems irrelevant or maybe it’s me getting old.

Robbie Williams was there for the gig in 1994, and he did the same in 2026 wtf.

Lauren Hill? She was the lead singer or rather the female singer from The Fugees.

I was curious how long this is taking compared to the last world cup, and indeed the entire thing last time took 80 minutes.

Its pretty much already taken longer than the entire last draw and we havent even started! And it's not like the last draw was rapid and without nonsense either.

Spot on. I work in Hollywood, and I’ve been saying this for years—long before I worked in Hollywood: you cannot Americanise any global sporting event, with the only exception being the Super Bowl or other sporting events inherently American.

US drawing by far and away the weakest side in pot 2, at least alongside iran. Interesting....

Good for us to draw a European side here, stops the possibility of norway in 3, and means a weaker side in pool 4.

The world cup is such a slog having a very tough group is going to be a big handicap I think.

I think if England and Mexico top their groups and make it to the last 16 (big if).
    They will play each other..

They will and in Mexico City. That'll be a challenge.

We also would play in Miami as well.

Has to be said the draw is really making it clear how many dogshit games there will be at the world cup. And I usually love the random match ups! But you need a decent amount of high quality games to balance it out and that is clearly going to be lacking.

Scotland get Brazil and Morocco. Just as they had the last time they qualified.

Second place in our group actually gives us a better route venue wise.
