If I was boro I wouldnt buy Arf for more than 4 as he is likely at his athletic/skill ceiling (he may not be in his prime, but he is what he is when it comes to speed and technical ability). If I was the crew I wouldnt sell him for less than 5 because he is so integral, and you cannot replace his production easily at his current roster designation.
A few thoughts: Aidan's "market value" on transfermarkt was €3M right before he went to Middlesbrough. Max is sitting at €5M. Take that for what it's worth. Attacking players generally cost more than defensive players. Max is more positionally flexible than Aidan. Aidan was probably seen less a finished product and more a project, whereas Max is in his prime. Max is more involved with the USMNT and, as we know, made the World Cup squad. He can hoop.
Anytime I see a deal like this I always think, “how much would it cost to replace this person”. It seems like they could get someone of equal quality for less than 3-5 million. That being said, there is something of more value which is his marketability. A USMNT player who was just added to the World Cup squad seems to fit that mold.
Y'all think that tweet is reliable after there's another source that says 'Boro isn't offering enough? Look at the time stamps.
Max heading off to Europe has felt like an inevitable thing for a year or so, but it wasn't just Boro that he was linked to. There were rumors about a French club last year, as I recall. Edit: It was League 1 side Toulouse. Supposedly "close to $3 million" which, of course, the Crew rejected.
At this point, Philly strangely re-acquiring their all time assist leader (Kai Wagner) a year after selling him feels like a personal attack on Columbus fans. Guys, you have to get the WHOLE band back together! No half measures. Get the man who banged in the goals! Please…PLEASE
There was a Sam's Club in Columbus that used to have what had to have been the world's biggest trampoline hanging from the ceiling. Eventually, it was removed. Assuming it was bought as a flo... ceiling model, I can't imagine the back yard it went in.
The hot dogs are terrific. They also have a very good trail mix. For an everyday red wine, their MM cab is a pretty good deal. You might not want to serve it to guests, unless you decant it into a clasy Bordeaux bottle because your guests are boobs. Much better than two buck chuck ( TBF I dont know if Trader Joes still sells that anyway)
Adding to the Black & Gold backline ➕⚔️The Columbus Crew have acquired defender Eric Bailly, who most recently played for Spain’s Real Oviedo and possesses 12 seasons of experience combined between La Liga and the English Premier League. 📰: https://t.co/2f7Cw8dw7z pic.twitter.com/KoT3IZIDgP— The Crew (@ColumbusCrew) July 17, 2026
He was certainly an elite player but has had a rough 6 or 7 years. Multi-game suspensions, lots of injuries, and he’s bounced around quite a bit. At 32 years old, this seems a bit surprising for us as this team has tended to target young up and comers. I hope he settles in well here.
