He talks about it because it's a million times more important than how the ball bounces in some dinky competition.
Season is barely starting. He can rotate if he wants to. He should stop crying. Toluca is playing Liguilla (play offs) so they have to play their best players in both tournaments.
Lloris isn't a DP. Great goalie for sure and as you say a good reason LAFC is still in it. But those type of quality of goalies are hard to come by at a discounted price as Lloris.
They did play 3 games in 7 days in the week between the Cruz Azul and Toluca, right? But it's not like they had to travel to Toronto and Miami. Apr 4 h Orlando Apr 7 h Cruz Azul Apr 11 a Portland Apr 14 a Cruz Azul Apr 19 h San Jose Apr 22 h Colorado Apr 25 a Minnesota Apr 29 h Toluca May 2 a San Diego May 6 a Toluca Maybe if they'd asked to postpone the Colorado game to give them a break MLS would have listened.
They can rotate. MLS is on week 11. LAFC sits in 3rd in the Eastern Conference with 8 points ahead of 10th place (LA Galaxy). 9 teams out of 15 make the play offs. They can afford to lose the next regular season game or two. LAFC is 2 games away from a Continental title. If Marc Dos Santos is more worried about regular season games than CCC then he has his priorities messed up.
Next year, MLS teams in CCC will have played a full 14-game sprint season by this date, and with no possibility of getting the league to give them a break by postponing some of them to later in the year.
I was about to say Liga MX does the same but they start their season the first week of January. When is MLS starting their sprint season?
Looks like the winner of LAFC-Toluca is going to host the final unless Tigres can put the beat down on Nashville. Let’s see…if LAFC loses by one and advances by away goals or shootout, and Tigres wins, Tigres out point LAFC by one.
Tigres were in good form over the weekend in the Liguilla quarterfinals against Chivas. Toluca rested several starters and lost 1:0 at home to Pachuca. They presumably also have to deal with the absence of Jesús Gallardo and Alexis Vega in the second leg. All Liga MX clubs agreed to release their Mexican national team players early during the Liguilla for a pre-WC camp. So right now Toluca are down in both series, CCC and Liguilla.
Awesome atmosphere, surprised Nashville have looked up to the challenge so far especially with them missing some starters.
Zero shots on goal and you lose your DP forward going into this series is a gut punch for a team. Only took one mistake to seal the deal but Tigres deserves all the credit. Close but once again, no cigar.
And exactly HERE is where MLS gets in trouble… if this happens to Tigres, they have 2-3 Yazbeks on the bench ready to go. And another Surridge, and another Tagseth and another, and another… Tonight would be the biggest sport miracle ever pulled by an MLS team in MX. 2051842696776458270 is not a valid tweet id No miracle happened as expected But this excuse already got old and overused. I'll admit I was guilty of using it too. But this is the way MLS wants it. Every year the same excuse, "no depth, DP didn't show up, DP injured" etc.

Yes, an excuse. What Tigres does any MLS team can do too. MLS just chooses not to. Pretty sure if you compare spending on both teams they aren't that far apart. And Tigres is a "big spender" in Liga MX. Some of us know what is the difference. It's brought up every year come CCC time.
Tigres is a better team top to bottom than Nashville. That's not making an excuse when it's a statement of fact.
