Some of these Sounder's give aways are due to them not being familiar with the new surface. Neither team had a chance to practice on it.
Only 6 minutes extra time? Now that's getting CONCACAFed. The last delay was over 3 minutes, there was easily 3 minutes when the goalie went down 10 minutes ago, add in all the subs and yellows, the stalling tactics ...
Nashville look the most likely to win this. LAFC have the firepower but showed some vulnerable moments vs Cruz Azul

How are they determining who hosts the second leg, like the quarterfinals? If so then Nashville will host the second leg in their series. Also LAFC has the inside track to hosting the final as long as they win and tie, although one win would probably do it too.
It's determined by points accumulated from R16 forward. For Semis the table looks like this; Toluca 9pts +8 LAFC 8pts +4 Tigres 6pts +1 Nashville 6pts +1 My guess is that total goals scored will determine the tiebreaker in the case of Tigres vs Nashville and Tigres scored more goals (8) while Nashville scored 2. Or...they just go by number of yellow cards which in that case I think Nashville has the advantage.
I agree. Watching Bayern v Real Madrid was more entertaining knowing that an additional away goal wouldn't mean the home team would have to score two.
Penalties feels more arbitrary but somehow less capricious. At least it is dramatic. There's no other circumstance outside these cups, and not even all cups, where goals in one minute of the game count differently than those in a different one.
Sounders were Concacafed by over the top time wasting by Tigres which the ref neither punished or accounted for with adequate added time. Alas, they could have been better in both legs.
