Vancouver's looking great so far this year in both the attack and the defense, while Seattle hasn't showed well in its last 2 matches (despite winning against St. Louis) and has increasing injury issues. The signs are pointing to an early exit for the Sounders.
Don't expect much from the Jamaican club after this. 🇯🇲 10 players for Mount Pleasant have been denied entry into the United States for their Concacaf Champions Cup debut against the LA Galaxy due to visa issues. 7 are from Haiti. They've had to call up several academy players to fill out the squad.93 days until the World Cup. pic.twitter.com/y4sEpgCeTx— Ben Wright (@benwright) March 10, 2026
Is it me, or does Lukic suck? This game is basically a free-for-all, but he just always mis-controls and overhits his passes. If either team could settle the ball and not just play it helter-skelter, they'd cut right through...
I'll bet America games are stress-inducing, if this kind of game is emblematic of their play as late.
America did not look especially convincing tonight. There was a surprising amount of human pinball inside their box.
Piling up the losses pretty quickly for the Union so far this season. It's too bad that there is always at least one MLS team who qualified for the CCC that is playing far below how they did the previous season—and that's definitely the Union this season. Hopefully that is mitigated a bit when MLS moves its calendar.
Yeah, the Union are going to take a bit to get the attack sorted out. Ndinga looked decent at left back considering he was thrown into the deep end after two days of training. He also hasn't played since November either. They're going to be fine defensively. Lukic looks like a shell of the player he was last season though. He really needs to slow it down a tad before making passes. Every pass doesn't need to be a homerun. They need another attacking midfielder now. They can't wait until after the World Cup break when Quinn returns from injury.
Oof. Monterrey keeper tries to punch the ball, hits the player instead, and it's a penalty and a second yellow. And they're out of subs, which means an outfield player has to go in goal for the last ten minutes or so.
Nico at the death! What a volley! Nico Ibánez AT THE DEATH 💥He gives Cruz Azul the lead in the 90th minute 👀 pic.twitter.com/vc8M0e3FPH— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) March 11, 2026
Doubt that would even be called a foul.. I'm pretty sure Carnell subbed Cavan at the half to protect him from being mugged another 45 minutes w/o protection from the ref.
