Omar Gonzalez earned an early red card for a (somewhat innocuous) forearm to the chin. Chicago used the 10-man advantage to get a PK goal for the 1-0 lead. MIN tied it early in the 2nd half on a goal by Lod. Yeboah scored the winner early in AET, and scored again via PK late. MIN will now host Austin, who advanced past SJE in a PK shootout 2(4):2(2).
San Jose should have been up an man in the extra period. How Desler wasn't shown red for his high studs challenge on Espinoza is a mystery. Espinoza had to be subbed off due to gash opened up just above his knee. It didn't even go to review, which mind boggling.
Weather delay in Chester. Supposed to be on and off thunderstorms all night. So I guess we'll see if they can get the game in tonight.
Yeah, about that off thing........... that freakin storm did NOT move, at all!!! That was an insane amount of rain falling down there. I knew I should have left as soon as the delay started......... Hope everyone else got/gets home safe.
Is there a decent crowd at this Nashville-DCU game or is it just the multi colored seats playing tricks on me?
OMG that’s not a handball if he’s standing because it was upper arm! It’s the plant hand (as we saw Sunday).
Officiating is such a tough job, and it's thankless at that. The rapid expansion at the pro level in our country has created a shortage of experienced officials for all of the games. Between last night's games and this game...... some questionable decisions. (also in MLS from week to week, not a lot of consistency).
Forge sent Montreal packing in the Canadian Championship. The Caps are currently tied with Valor (Winnipeg) in the 79' over on FS2. Check that, Sabbi makes it 1-0 Caps (3-2 on agg)
