Austin are now apparently doing their level best to blow a 3-0 lead. It's 3-1 now, they've given Houston two free headers in about two minutes, and they've given Houston another dangerous free kick opportunity.
They will have to put an Eastern Conference team in the western half of the quarterfinal draw. Could be Chicago or Nashville.
Some late drama: both Austin and Houston down to ten men within about a minute and a half. Raines with his second yellow for Houston, Cascante with a DOGSO red card for Austin.
Full time. The second half had a real "resistable force meets moveable object" quality to it: Austin giving up chance after chance after chance, and Houston unable to shoot on target.
Announcers say the Houston chance wasn't that dangerous and maybe shouldn't be red. But the attacker had the ball, was almost dead center in the box, and neither of the other two guys back for Austin were in position to get there. The foul may have been meh, but the chance was definitely there.
MLS teams messed around and eliminated every single USL team. We're totally ready for pro/rel guys!!!

So, the end of the DC game was insane. Troy Lesesne subbed in our #3 keeper at 118. That keeper then saved 4 out of 5 PKs. Now, I didn’t say there were 4 that didn’t score; they were all on target. But he guessed right and executed. Yeah, sounds like they were missing the last O in DOGSO. It’s not stopping an obvious goal, it’s denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
This is what I don't get from MLS haters. They want MLS to lose in USOC so bad but when MLS decided to take a few teams to USOC these haters got upset. They don't understand that the less teams MLS has in this comp the easier it gets for USL to win. Well, that's assuming they actually follow and watch USOC which we already know they never did and still don't. They just found out about USOC even existing when MLS decided to pull out and they fake outraged about MLS doing so.
I know it will be a draw but to have players travel less I would just go with Philly vs Nashville, RBNY vs DC and Chicago vs Minnesota Austin vs San Jose. And for CCC purposes in order to have a good representative next year I hope from the teams left either Philly or Nashville win it. Although Minnesota isn't playing that bad either. Now watch DC win it lol.
