titbit note: No qualifiers were held for AFC due transition from biennial to anual. Teams were selected based on rankings from previous three continental tournaments. (..) "Additionally, 2025 will serve as a transition year for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™, as it is not feasible to organise both the Qualifiers and Finals within the calendar year. As such, to determine the Continent’s qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2025, the AFC has ranked all participating teams from the past three editions of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™/AFC U-16 Women’s Championship. This approach, which ensures fairness and integrity given the strength and consistent track record of the AFC’s U17 women’s teams, also allows the AFC and Member Associations to focus on preparing for the 2026 edition. Ranking the participating teams at each of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Thailand 2017, AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 and AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 have produced the following top four teams: DPR Korea, Japan, Korea Republic and China PR. Consequently, this quartet will be the AFC’s representatives at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2025."

Added time... it doesn't count (yeah... somehow I missed one ) ...not bad Samoa... it was almost respecable defeat...
I am a little disappointed that there is not more activity here about this tournament. But I assume that will pick up later. I have been ill and unable to watch, before today, more than just a little so far. But I am able, I think, to watch more starting today. The first thing I wish to say is that I am VERY impressed by the Zambian 'keeper. She is more "in control" in her box that most U17s I have seen. She has the presence of a much older 'keeper. I also love the Zambian names. They have Mercy, Gift, Blessing, Precious and Loveness on their roster and I think some of the other names are similar but in local languages or dialects. Zambia, right now, is keeping the match very interesting and holding Brazil to only one goal and they have looked dangerous on several occasions. Since I cannot be up and around much I will go back and watch some of the earlier matches and "catch up" fairly soon. I do not know these young teams very well at all and I would apricate any incites others might have. Have fun and I really am getting better, for those that care. BTW: I am also impressed by Brazil's play. They don't have the final third play mastered, yet, but they do seem in control most of the time of the time and, so far, Zambia has not had a good shot on goal.
Ahem... this is the thread for next year's U-17 WWC. You can find the one for this year's U-17 WWC below it.
Sorry. I will blame it on my illness and nobody can prove differently. I also will repost this in the correct folder and I will try to do better in the future.
