We definitely need someone in that role as I would imagine Vlahovic and Muani won't be here next season.
Doubt Gyökeres will be signing for Juve, not only is his release clause almost the entire budget he will likely have many suitors this summer. Jonathan David is one Juve is accelerating for since he'll be free, but apparently Napoli also want to sign him and he's leaning more towards them. Di Marzio said Juve are stepping it up to try to meet his demands, we'll see what happens.
Juve is going all in on Conte, offering a lot of power over what I assume will be transfer targets. I think its a big mistake to bring back a guy who will throw a temper tantrum like a 5 yr old midway through the season then quit at the end like he has at every single team he's been in, including his first stint at Juve (even though that was his longest stint at any club). Sure he'll likely have an immediate impact and could potentially have the team competing, but what good is that when you have no clue if he's still going to be in charge come the end of the season.
This is a legit concern, but right now it is a fire drill so I can see why the club is ringing the fire alarm. At most he will stay 3 years, but if he comes and wins us a Acudetto or two then we can hire a successor coach with juice because we will be back at th top again. Brining him back is a gamble but Conte is the Billy Martin of futbol...bring him in, right the ship and be prepared for a top end hire when he inevitablt burns out/blows a fuse. The bigger issue is what to do with Giuntoli?
Looks like Napoli might beat Juve to David. Napoli going to have a really strong team next season if they get both KDB and David.
Apparently KDB has already accepted personal terms. David and osimen would be a good partnership but we will have to pay Napoli way over the odds to get him. I also here osimen prefers the premier league
Looks like Conte IS leaving Napoli. We do look to be the most likely landing spot for him. Mad Max rumored to follow him with ADL.
The issue for us isn't where to start the cuts...it's where to stop. There are so many bidoni on this team. I'm like a broken record about it. I'm hearing Giuntoli is on the hot seat. Good. He's botched so many player personnel decisions. I've watched Juve now going on 4 decades. I can't recall a time when we had so many giocatori scarsi. Way too many players that don't have feet and can't even execute simple control of the ball. It's a minor miracle we are in CL, and certainly that credit goes to the few players with balls that pushed this team through in the end.
Giuntoli's only defense is that he was hired first to cut the payroll (which he did) and the second phase, which starts this summer, to rebuild the squad. His problem is so many of his picks that he invested large sums in have not paid off. A couple like Koop I think still have a chance to come good, but too many others need to go. And the loan situation is way out of control. We need a core of Juventini committed to the club to build around. How many players in the squad now fit that bill?
Antonio Pintus supposedly coming back to Juve as fitness coach. This is huge, hopefully all those muscle injuries can be reduced now.
Looks like big changes ARE coming. Giuntoli and Scanavino out, Conte and Comoli in, Elkann stepping up: ‼️Antonio Conte has been in talks with Elkann for months. In recent days, he has requested assurances regarding the club’s structure and the transfer market at Juve. Meanwhile, in these hours, the future of Giuntoli is being decided.@eleonora_trotta | #Juventus pic.twitter.com/UoyGK4DayC— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) May 28, 2025 “I have received quite strong confirmation that this revolution is coming from above, from Elkann.”“Giuntoli and Scanavino are expected to be replaced, as the opinion on both is negative. Timing: Juve needs to act quickly.”@antoniocorsa via: @RidTheRock pic.twitter.com/lHmDoz8Fx0— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) May 28, 2025 ‼️According Damien Comolli has announced his resignation as president of Toulouse.@lequipe | #Juventus— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) May 28, 2025
Sooo...if Giuntoli goes and Conte stays at Napoli, what is the direction of the club now? Who is in charge? What is the vision? When and how will it be implemented? Unless the club pulls a few rabbits out of its hat we are in for another disaster next season and possibly for longer. We went from one of the best run clubs in Europe under Beppe to a farce ever since CR 3.5 was brought in and he broke the bank and the team spirit. Grinta has disappeared and few in this squad have any idea of what Juve DNA entails.
Looks like Giuntoli is gone: https://football-italia.net/giuntoli-exit-juventus-increasingly-imminent/
If it is accurate that Conte turned down Elkann personally, then we won't ever have to worry about him coming here again....for better or worse depending on your POV. Tudor is not the solution, so I hope John has a backup plan. https://football-italia.net/conte-convinced-remain-napoli-crisis-meeting/ https://football-italia.net/conte-napoli-bring-decisive-meeting-forward/
John Elkann is not a very likable guy. I can see why Conte turned him down. He knows bullshit from a mile away.
