I hear ya Zman! We moved to 238 this season and tried to get 4 down in Rows 1-10 because of the view and they were affordable. Best we could do was Row 14 and figured we would move down next season when seats could open. Guess we got our wish but no way I will spend 5-6k per seat!
You may have blundered into a better deal than the rest of us can get. Row 14 of section 238 could very well be better than what we get offered as non-club replacement seats for 2026. I will be very surprised if more than a handful of the STHs currently in 237-239 opt to stay where they are for $6000 per. That will dump 700 or so fans onto the market for new seats, when they are already so scarce that the team can charge $200 a year for sitting on a waiting list.
Demand is up everywhere. I have had issues exchanging my season Nordecke season tickets to accessible seating when bringing my daughters. I’m not judging anything but as I look at the people sitting in accessible seating, not many seem to be using mobility devices. I have wondered aloud if they sold accessible seating to people that do not have the need for it just to sell more seating.
Depending on how close to the game those tickets were sold, I can understand the position of the team here.
What I'd be tempted to do: Buy a ticket in the lowest "regular people row" and wait until the 15th minute or so to see which seats don't fill in. Will those sections be 100% full 100% of the time? Will there be some sort of barricade like there is for the River Club seats?
I know that the reduction of ticket accessibility isn't great for average fans, but 5 years ago the thought of the team adding more premium spaces would have been unimaginable.
The problem is my daughter's wheelchair and her boyfriend's level of autism would cause issues if seats don't become available or if someone that didn't purchase those seats is sitting there anyway. And I really need to keep them close to me in the Nordecke.
Years ago I was in North Carolina for work, about an hour from Raleigh. The Carolina Hurricanes were home one night. So I hopped in the car and made the drive there. Got there a bit late, and went to buy a ticket at the ticket window (old days), game was sold out (Hurricanes ended up going to the Stanley Cup Final that season). I was like 'please!', so they found me an unsold accessible seat (folding chair in the accessible seating area). Was great. Front part of the second level, plenty of room with the empty spaces for wheelchairs, and great view. Loved it. Probably best seat I ever had for an NHL game.
I really do pity all the people who stopped following the team. It truly is their loss. 1999...2022 2000...2023 2001...2024 2002...2025 Depending on how you count the 2021 season we're now as far out from the opening of LDC as the 2002/2003 seasons were from the opening of Crew Stadium and the attendance has yet to falter. The worst part about the attendance at LDC was the unfortunate timing of opening during covid and the Omicron variant which hit late in 2021. The biggest two differences IMO? The parking situation is much, much better and the team didn't suck almost immediately after LDC opened. The 2022 season was basically the only exception when we missed the playoffs by two points.
Of course the only place to pick it up is on the plaza. They were able to figure out how to have multiple distribution points for the scarf, though. I guess it gives us northern-based fans an excuse to visit the plaza after the game.
Would a third jersey not have the main sponsor on it? This looks more like a retro throwback shirt. The DHL logo is the most confusing part.
It may not be the copy/paste from 1996 that I wanted, but I like it and am hoping for a version that isn't $200 that I can afford.
Is it supposed to be reminiscent of this jersey? Which I really liked once there was a sponsor on it.
There was a training/warmup jersey that looked like those. The differences were that it was made out of a heavier t-shirt type material, it wasn't a v-neck, the stripes were straight across and the logo was on top of the stripes. This new throwback looks like a hybrid of the two.
This jersey would have really been good if we still had Cucho and Ramirez. The Rossi, Cucho, and Ramirez goal celebration together with the arms folded pose...
