Two dates of note: Thursday, May 22nd 6:30pm to 7:15pm A virtual "Chalk Talk" with GM Issa Tall and Technical Director Marc Nicholls. Thursday, June 12th 6pm to 8pm Crew open practice at LDC (This is the same date/time as a Crew 2 game. Bummer.) Check your email inboxes for a link to RSVP to the chalk talk. There'll be more information about the open practice soon. It's a ticketed event and it's limited to one ticket per season seat on the account.
Btw, anyone know why the Hell Is Real match on May 17th starts at 7 pm instead of the normal 7:30 pm?
It's a 2.5hr broadcast window on FS1. I'm guessing their thought is to get people in early so the stadium can be loud for TV. If a kickoff time of ~7:25pm was advertised, they're broadcasting to a much-emptier stadium for much of the pregame show. Unfortunately, MLSKickoffTimes.com hasn't been updated in a few weeks, but it wouldn't surprise me if actual kickoff time wasn't until after 7:15.
There's two here that are :54 and :24. https://mlskickofftimes.com/ I wouldn't be surprised if HiR is closer to 7:24.
Well, it looks like it's official. They are turning the front 10 rows in the middle of the east side of the stadium into premium seats for 2026. My 4 tickets in row 1 of section 237 that were $1440 this year will be over $6000 in 2026 (Free food and drink! Yea! )
I'm just sick about this. I sat in the same seat at the old stadium from opening day until it closed. I've had the same seat at the new place from day one and had planned to hold on to it for life. Sadly, not possible at a 4x price increase. And, since I won't be able to find anything comparable to the amazing seat I currently have for a decent value, this just might be the end of my season ticket run.
This is wild. They are adding three new premium seating areas when the premium seats are rarely filled now. They may be sold but there are tons of empty seats on the West side of the pitch every single game.
Those seats are sold. Just because there isn't someone sitting in them doesn't mean anything. See the lower bowl at any CBJ game.
I was too loud on reddit about your section being some of the best tickets in the house. I apologize. It really stinks. Its the first time they converted sections to premium in the new stadium.
Coming from 238, same feeling. No idea how we can find anything else comparable. 6k per seat (row 2)is the 4th highest in the building.
There are established groups of buyers for sports season tickets: - Diehards (Evangelists) - Families - Corporate/High Net Worth - Casuals/Date nights (who aren't likely buying STH) Trading diehards and families for more corporate / high-net worth is a risky tradeoff, IMO. Especially for a product that isn't no. 1 in town. And a sport that is vert dependent on a boisterous crowd to add to the entertainment spectacle.
The old saying is that things come in threes: - Moving the Miami game to Cleveland - Displacing STH for more premium seating What's the third screwover to STH?
Season tickets since the beginning. Three seats in row 2 of 238. From casual conversation with neighbors, it seems most of the account holders (not necessarily the friends and family they bring with) in the first five rows of 238 have had season tickets since at least '99. $4k a year I can swing, $18K is a different matter. I assume that after pushing us to step up to club seat prices they will offer some kind of preference in moving to other, much inferior, non-club seats. Very upset, but what else can we do? Hope with my seniority I can get some season tickets that are at least mediocre. I would say treating the most loyal of their customers this way is crappy business practice, but quadrupling the price speaks much louder than that kind of complaint.
FS1 is also showing Portland versus Seattle at 9:30, so they probably just wanted to have a little extra runway to make sure there was no overlap.
Well, if they only sell a quarter of the new seats they'll break even compared to what they had before. At this rate, and there gonna be any good seats and reasonable prices that aren't in the corner or behind the goal? Fvcking hell...
My season ticket seats in Upper Crew Stadium were in the section next to the center line in row 3, seats very comparable to the ones I have now. When we changed to the new stadium, the tickets cost 282% as much as they had. Now we are converting the new stadium seats to club seats, and quadrupling the price. Arm rests and food do not justify THAT much of a price increase!
I'm sure more than a few of them are corporate buyers who use them for business purposes. For the company, it's no more than a write-off.
I'm guessing it'll look something like this: 7pm - Go live. 7:20pm - Kickoff from Columbus. Approx 9:45 - Kickoff from Portland. 10pm - End. If you click on the team logos at that link, it goes to a page for each game. Exact kickoff times are supposed to be listed, but it's ~48 hours before Wednesday's games and we've got nothing yet. https://www.mlssoccer.com/schedule/scores#competition=all&club=all&date=2025-05-12
