Sources: Aljaz Ivacic to be Waived to Free International Slot for Allan Oyirwoth Seth Macomber Sep 11, 2025 theblazingmusket.com So how did Oyirwoth get on the roster for the last 2 games?
The revs bought a 2nd Intl slot from Austin this summer to accommodate bringing up Oyirwoth, while ivacics green card allowed them to add Turgeman to the roster. (Ot the other way around. Take your pick). Caleb Pongrantz reported on it around a month ago, that Ivacic had gone back to Slovenia to receive his green card. I attended #NERevs training today- Aljaž Ivačič is absent as he is in Europe receiving his green card. - Eric Klein is training- Rest of squad is present.#MLS pic.twitter.com/TDJ5ztObZD— Caleb Pongratz (@CalebPongratz10) August 19, 2025
Right, but according to Seth he still hasn't received it yet. If true, then his release technically is to free up an international slot for Turgeman.
I guess that explains why Bono was on the bench in Chicago. He's still in Slovenia. Also explains why no one wants him in the league. He isn't going to be very effective 6000 miles from his net
According to Feldman on the game broadcast, the Revs waited until Ivacic returned to the States with his green card before releasing him, and it was an amicable departure. Even though he got his green card, it would take some time for the league to change his status (not sure why, just repeating what Feldman said).

Wow, it's getting to the point Europe is scooping up MLS Academy players/homegrowns before they ever play meaningful minutes for the team that developed them. This seems to be a trend league-wide.
Pablo Moreira on Dor Turgeman: “We just want to give him freedom and give him the ability to express himself and not hold anything back. We'll provide him with that platform, but we're excited to see what he can do.”#NERevs pic.twitter.com/Iu3mT838EN— Seth (@SethMan31) September 23, 2025
Seeing some chatter about #NERevs interest in Brazilian U20 attacker Leandro Kauã. Not much data in transfermkt, but what is available isn’t painting a picture of a DP. https://www.transfermarkt.us/leandro-kaua/profil/spieler/1091501 O jovem centroavante Leandro Kauã, de apenas 20 anos, está chamando a atenção não apenas no Brasil, mas também no exterior. What makes you think he'd be a DP? At 20 he'd qualify for a U22 slot. Depending on our roster build/offseason moves we should have one available
You could probably build a starting XI from all the ex-Revs on that list: Giacomo Vrioni Omar Gonzalez Kei Kamara Jacob Jackson Sebastian Lletget Diego Fagundez Teal Bunbury Tim Parker Emmanuel Boateng Earl Edwards Jr Mark-Anthony Kaye Jon Bell Henry Kessler
Diego is only 30 years old, and he scored a banger against DAL this weekend. He has played 30 games (2300 min) for LA this year, with 6 goals and 3 assists (about what Revs got from Chancalay and Langoni combined). I don't think he is ready to retire just yet.
I didn't say he was going to retire. I meant would they bring him back so he could eventually retire a Rev.. He is a homegrown player but that bridge may have been burnt.
