For no other reason than bookkeeping that match is at Citi Field.

 

Whoops. I thought it was in Seattle.

 

Last night, the MLS broke its one-year-old record of having four teams with 60+ points in the same season. Miami's win made it five teams (so far) this season. An LAFC win or draw tonight would break the now barely 24-hour-old record by making it six teams this season.

 

Fourth Official Sergii Demianchuk gave a signal for 2 minutes of stoppage. Center Referee Rosendo Mendoza whistled the half done at full time, with no stoppage.

First half: collectively 3/0/0 shooting.

Maybe Mendoza gave everyone a mercy whistle.

 

This was a fairly dire half of soccer.

 

It had seventh-grade-dance awkwardness, for sure.

 

Barely over 0.5 combined xG for the half.

Seattle can’t move anywhere in the WC standings no matter the result this weekend. One should expect a low energy affair on their part, leaving many/most starters at home.
