After a brief pause for most teams, MLS is back for week only!!! Then it's a Gold Cup / Club World Cup group stage break for the next two weeks or so. We're also at the halfway point of the 2025 MLS Season for the majority of the league. Raise your hand if you had Vancouver and Philadelphia at the top of the standings and the Galaxy at the bottom? We follow a crazy wonderful league. With all of the absences due to callups and injuries it's difficult to say which games this week will be good or laughably bad. LAFC, Seattle and Miami will be idle the next few weeks from MLS play due to their participation in the CWC. TFC is off this week to make up the numbers. As usual all game times are eastern. National broadcasts & Free games are listed. All games can be viewed using MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. MLS N&A play by play threads are neutral spaces. Keep all rivalry-esque banter out of these parts. Bullying. personal attacks and/or trolling will not be tolerated. After the break following this weekend's matches, MLS returns with 11 regular season games on Wednesday, June 25th. A full slate of games is set for June 28th (13 of them) and 2 on the 29th.
As is the new usual, the MLS reports exist, but PRO isn't making it easy to find info for the earlier matches. Here is the link to the Player Availability and Disciplinary Summary reports. Here are the Game Guides for this week's matches. The good news is that they are being updated as usual. The Guides list the referees for the matches, even though PRO's website is, well, dead. The Game Guides are awesome. Here is the link to PRO's MLS assignments page, where the link eventually should appear for this week's matches. The entire website is down (again/still/as usual/as expected), so don't get your hopes up.
If not for noticing the score on the Bottomline, I would have no idea there was a game. ESPN's bottomline actually made me find a game in 2025. ******** it all.
Gosh...for much of the first half, I thought Atlanta was the more likely team to score. Now, the Pigeons have flown the coop! Up 3-nil!
Uhhhhhh, isn't there supposed to be a defense back there? Somewhere? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
