I was still laughing at how it got quiet after Twellman was saying they should be looking for Blackmon before I heard "White again." Goal stands.
In olden times, when ABC might show an NASL game once a month, teams may have been content to play for a draw in the late going. It's nice to see both VAN and LAFC going for all 3 points.
How many times has he mentioned El Clásico? Big save at the top of the six and then from that hard driven ball.
...and another shitty week of MLS comes to an end with another boring tie. The second 2-2 result earns boos from the crowd.
Good match. 2-2 is a fair result. Changing the subject here. Did anyone notice the YSA chant Orlando fans were doing on a goal kick by the New England keeper Saturday night...or was I hearing things? Has San Diego put the kabosh on the chant on opposing keeper's goal kicks. I haven't watched a San Diego home game for a few weeks.
Yeah Orlando fans have been doing that for ages. Unfortunately that chant has made a comeback at Subaru park in Philly (Chester) as well.
I remember when the league cracked down on Metro Stars fans who were doing that on opposing teams' corner kicks. Guess we're entering into an 'anything goes' phase now.
I remember being at a Supporter's Group town hall with Garber and Philly Union Ownership where they talked about ending YSA, because it was very bad look for the league.
Just catching up on the weekend. Congratulations to Steve Cangialosi (sp?) on his restraint as his favorite team hammered their old rivals. If that had happened when he was announcing for MSG NY he would have been hoarse by the end of the game.
I heard it too. Reminded me of one of my favorite quotes from Matt Reis back when he was the Revs keeper. A reporter asked him about that chant, and he replied, "I thought they were saying 'Your socks have holes.' "
