Yellow for Messi. Does Miami ever take Messi off? You think that would've been the obvious thing to do after the fourth goal.
That chip looked initially like a blown opportunity it went so high, but it dropped back under the bar just so. Pretty.
Blown tire for the Rapids in the MLS Next Pro final after leading 2-0 at half and 3-2 in the second half.
Finally some solid playoff fane… now we’ve got the playoffs in rhythm.. tomorrow should be a solid match then we keep the momentum going with the next round.. cant wait…. wait… theres a 2 week break before the next round…wtf… Boo also
I think a better format would be to not have PK's in the first two matches. If both of the first two matches end in identical results (i.e. two wins or two draws), then the higher seeded team would get the third match at home. But if the first two matches end in a win and a draw, then the team with the win advances.
Is the outcome of the first two matches based solely on win/loss/draw, or does goal differential a tiebreaker as well?
Man he was just standing there by himself. Pelegrino with his second. It was a four v four attack but Portland didn't track that fourth runner, and Baird lifted it to him perfectly.
Mosquera totally lost the plot there. I am not sure even the 10 man advantage is enough for Portland to score four in ten minutes though.
I knew what time the game was. I was looking forward to watching it. I don't remember to watch when there is other stuff going on and everything is so detached.

New day....time for a new hip! Replacement surgery is my breakfast today. It's been a rough 6-7 weeks for me. Lately, the pain in my leg/hip has been such, that it's difficult to sit at the computer for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. Getting up from a seated position isn't easy, especially getting out of the recliner or off the sofa. Gettng out of bed isn't so tough, but taking the first few steps once standing, resembles the gait of a monster in a movie! Hopefully, the recovery will go well enough so I'll be more than ready to go for the 2026 MLS season. For the weekend matches just concluded: --Tough way for Charlotte to disappoint the home fans, but New York City deserved its series win. --Minnesota over Seattle was clearly the best match of the 5. Tough to see a loser in that one, as the teams really went for the win. --First half of Cincinnati vs. Columbus didn't really wow me, but the second half made up for it. --Miami blew past Nashville with ease. It almost looked like a varsity vs. junior varsity scrimmage. --Likewise, Portland was a no-show in San Diego. The expansion team's dream-like season continues. Enjoy the International/Friendly break...can't wait for the Conference Semifinals!
Why is the Western Conference Semifinal on a Monday? I thought MLS was all about making as much money as possible. Having these wack ass play off schedules doesn't help much. Is it because of the NFL and college football that they need to spread play off games instead of just putting them all on the weekend?
