Aviles decided if MLS wasn’t gonna suspend him for the Sounders rematch he’d just do it himself! Easy 2nd caution for Boiko.

@ManiacalClown what are the stats on how often referees in MLS send players off for a second yellow? It feels like Boiko has had a bunch of them.

Michael Radchuk is bad at his job.

I’m assuming this is about the play I was about to comment on, something you don’t see every day from DC vs Orlando: Orlando scores a goal, but in doing so, the scorer takes straight legged studs to the head from the defender. Yellow card given on the field but Radchuk quite rightly sends Chris Penso to the monitor and it’s upgraded to a red. Pretty good announcement too.

…Or did something happen in the Portland NYRB game?

No, it's the MacNaughton flying challenge on Freeman in the DC game he's talking about. Most people on the United board hated the red.

    How unfortunate for them.

It was hard to tell in stadium exactly what happened, but when I watched the replay this morning, I get why VAR sent that down. That was a bad challenge.
