I think Kalinigrad is pretty uncomfortable in the winter. It doesn't get the benefit of the Gulf Stream and you have an Arctic wind blowing across the Baltic. Geographically its north of Edmonton.
Not that they have many February matches. The earliest they've returned from winter break since going to the winter schedule is February 26. They've had February matches in fewer than half of the seasons. The RSSSF archive of Russian league results includes weather conditions for the top two divisions. Here's last season: https://www.rsssf.org/tablesr/rus2025.html

St. Louis CITY SC loaned Jake Girdwood-Reich to Auckland FC through June 2026, with CITY retaining a right to recall him between now and January 1, 2026. Basically, this is a deal giving Jake a cray cray early training opportunity / vacay in a beautiful warm place through much (or all) of our winter, in exchange for freeing up a roster spot temporarily. BTW, Jake is from Sydney, Australia, so he also gets to visit with the fam while he's playing A-League matches in their back yard. Oh, the suffering! I can't even imagine how awful this experience would be.

"I know Dortmund didn't want to renew his contract but he should've stayed and played even for free, pay his own rent and food just to stay in Europe. Worst mistake ever to come back to mLs"- USMNT stans
I think I'm reading it quite clearly. Reading is fundamental. That the same thought applies to your straw man group (which I've not seen any response from that is actually saying what the made up quote is saying) doesn't make your preemptive dig any less preemptive.
Let's make it really clear - instead of saying something like "wow, that's a great get for FCC and gives the player a good opportunity to matriculate to the first team" - you got the straw men which was essentially..."blah, blah, blah, triggered USMNT shit take incoming". So the first thought of the poster was essentially defensive against a perceived slight from a straw man that had not actually materialized.
Do you get upset with everyone that post what I posted but they are actually being serious about it or do you just ignore what they are saying and just move on?
Again, reading is fundamental. Another failure to read the room and see the post as nothing but the sarcasm it was meant to be.
When people do actually post stupid shit like that in USMNT forums that's one thing. That's ripe for ridicule but at the end of the day who really gives a shit. We know what kind of reactionary BS eats up those forums, and soccer social in general. We don't need to make it up ahead of time. Some players will reach their level in MLS - some cannot reach it unless they leave, the USMNT hasn't had success with either group in a long time.
And...what does all that have to do with me making fun of the stupid shit that USMNT fans say? If the kid succeeds or not I really don't care. I won't complain for the choices he and his family make.
Your posts changed my mind on this. I didn’t think you were right at first but now I do. You’re right…we should try to turn our focus from bigsoccer to soccer when posting here.
WGAF. Just don't read it next time and move on. I'll be posting more of those now that I know it pisses you off.
