But...but, based on his managerial performance cycle, wasn't he supposed to win MLS Cup again this year?

Porter's now reached the ripe old age of 50. You have to wonder what his next gig will be. I have to assume some other MLS club will take a shot at him at some point.

 

Was only a matter time for Porter.
I’m thinking MLS has passed by the American college coach who plays a direct style. As more international players come into the league the tactics must adjust too. Porter just didn’t keep up with the times.

 

But I think l that's only because he was intellectually and emotionally unable to do so. After getting fired twice in the past 3 years, I assume he still thinks his system is good and he struggles to see himself as being a big part of the problem.

 

Is it just me or can anyone else see Austin snapping him up?

Hes not personable, hes not engaging, hes not willing to endure questions he thinks are beneath him, he dresses badly, he isnt able to simplify complex situations, he talks down to people, he's arrogant, touchy, snarky and rude.

Maybe if Apple is trying to drive down viewership....

 

Caleb has a pretty decent gig going, when you think about it. He coaches in MLS and gets paid a damned sweet salary when doing so. I mean, in Colubmus, it was $1M/year. Not bad. So he cashes those checks for a few years, gets sacked (or in Portland, quits), and then retreats to his house on the coast in South Carolina. If it were me, I'd kick back and never work another day in my life. Maybe write my memoires. Surely he has the bank account to support such a lifestyle.

 

Probably waiting for the USSF to fire Poch and give him a call lol.
