Toronto kicking shit out of the Clubfeet de Saputo. 5-1 on 84 minutes and it's not nearly that close. We should have killed these guys. Edit: now 6 - 1 and yes, this is in Montreal.
I am not one to question Nancy, but I am one to take the points when you can and do everything you can to ensure you win the easy ones. I would have played Rossi, but probably not Sean 'on a yellow'. To be fair to Nancy, I think the players themselves didnt take it too seriously. Hence why the young guys came in. That is a message sent and cemented with his public statement: if you guys dont run then you dont play.
Chicago goes to Charlotte and blast them 4-1 Charlotte is in bad form and has a midweek open cup match before they play us on Saturday. Meanwhile teams like Nashville & New England playing better than i thought and Atlanta is a absolute disaster
Messi and Miami were crying about a back pass which to me is wasn’t a intentional pass but either way the ref called it then Gallese bombs it deep and Muriel burns them
Agreed. Looked like a deflection off of the back of the foot of the Orlando player. Would have been surprised if the ref would have called that. Sorry, Inter-Miami. Edit: Watching the replay at halftime, closer to a 50/50 call on that backpass. But still think the ref got it right with no call.
It's refreshing that PRO has finally found their whistles and pockets when Miami constantly hacks opponents and gets in referees' faces.
Honestly with our upgrades it looks like the best 2 teams are in Ohio we just need a DP striker and i think id argue we have one of the best rosters we also get a u22 cm to rotate and be the next Nagbe protege then it’s no argument we would have the best Tall has to get this DP thing right , Nancy has to get Gazdag going I wanted Evander and Evander > Gazdag last year Cucho > Lucho so we need to really hit a home run on the summer transfer window
Keep all your negativity for Man U. One team is at the bottom of the standings and the other is at the top, don't get them confused.
Negative or not, it doesn't look great that we couldn't pull off a W against them when everyone else is. Same with Montreal.
It happens, When I went to see Fiorentina last year, they were playing relegated Sassulo. Fiorentina won 5-1. The next weekend Sassulo beat Inter 1-0 (Inter were champions).
Only 3 teams in the league have more wins than us, and that's with an incomplete roster. I'll manage with that.
Messi teed off yesterday on the refs in MLS being basically incompetent. I'm guessing Garber won't be fining him.
He spoke in Spanish without an interpreter, and the broadcast team said they would "do their best" to translate what he said before going to commercial. Never got mentioned again on the broadcast, and most people who saw it don't speak Spanish, so it's fine.
Say what you will about reddit/r/MLS, but their meme game has been on point lately. If you haven't seen the recent Austin gifs, they are top notch.
How can San Diego fans, who have had a team now for, what, 20 minutes, be so hard core that they conduct what can only be called a riot all.over Galaxy fans? Massive tactical police intervention, helicopters, everything but rubber bullets and fire hoses. In Snapdragon for Christ's sake. True hate takes time. This is like "OK we have a team now so let's get busy"
Other MLS teams had some problems with hooliganism in the early stages of the league. Not to the level of other places in the world (not even close, in fact), but it's been there. San Diego is brand new to this, so they probably have a contingent of new fans who think that's what it's all about. Whether they "see the light" at some point is questionable, because those people are pretty stupid to begin with. But everyone else gets tired of those clowns pretty quickly. I think between the p-word chants and the riot, I already think it's time for both teams to play a game in an empty stadium. San Diego because a message needs to be sent that they're not going to get carte blanche just because they're new, and the Galaxy because, well... haven't their fans suffered enough?
There are issues between all pro Cali teams' fans (minus Sacramento), specifically in the south. Some would say it's a cultural issues with the residents of California, especially southern California. Make of that what you will. I'll say this: I went to the HiR ECF a couple years ago at TQL. I've also been to BMO in Toronto a couple years ago, as well as San Diego in March. In only one of those venues did I feel unsafe, which was SD. Again, make of that what you will.
Between Chicago, Toronto, Orlando, probably some other teams and now San Diego, it's definitely a thing with the new teams. "Hey mate! Now that we have a proper football club, it's time to form a firm, throw on our Izods and have a meetup on the terrace in the 50th minute" or some crap.
