======== Some cool match ups Still pissed that LAFC can't defend its title due to stupid Garber... That is just so wrong
It wasn't Garber's decision, his bosses made that decision. Garber is the public face and spokesperson for the 30 ownership groups.
It very well could be that LAFC was given the opportunity to choose to enter to defend the USOC, like Houston was given the choice in 2024, but it would have meant opting out of Leagues Cup, which is more lucrative.
They also might be playing in the CWC which is FAR more lucrative than all of the nother comps available to them combined.

Let's be clear, he's not. He's one of 23 people on the Board of Directors. https://www.ussoccer.com/governance/board-of-directors/about
Been around for decades. If MLS LLC controls the Federation then USL will not be granted D1 status. The Fed also wouldn't have hired Klinsmann as coach either. It's very naive to think and/or believe that MLS LLC controls US Soccer.

I didn't do the research (too lazy) but how many of these remaining 8 have not won any kind of hardware? I know Chicago and I think DC have won the USOC and for sure Nash and Austin have not..... Kind of nice to see some new blood in the chase.
