Our next Open Cup game is Tuesday, at home, against the ForestKillers. Is Bruce going to run out a bunch of starters? Or the B Team that did well against the CounterRevs?

I’m hoping for mostly starters. I’d love to win the Open Cup!

    Go Quakesfans!!

You’d almost have to run out starters because the B team would be on 3 days rest. Some people are getting excited like “Bruce is prioritizing USOC!!” but I think if Saturday was USOC and Tues was MLS, we would have had B team for USOC and A team for the MLS match. Bruce has already said he needs to do squad rotation this month due to congested schedule. But good on him for doing nearly a full rotation and still coming out with a point. I can’t remember Luchi ever doing that in an MLS game. He’d have driven his starters into the ground.

I can't make the Portland game due to travel. Anyone want my parking pass for the tailgate lot? PM me.

I've never heard anybody - ANYBODY say USL is poised to overtake MLS...

You apparently have way too much time on your hands... Anyway - that's all contingent on USL actually being able to launch a first division league, and as I noted, is not something I expect to happen instantly.

I teach a class on Tues evening so can't attend. Does anyone know if I have to sign up for anything or pay to watch the game on "CBS Sports Golazo Network". I see the game listed there at a 9:30pm start (delayed or some other time zone - who knows?). I wonder if it's a backdoor to Paramount+ like I have to sign up for a trial or something... When I click, some Paramount bullshit flashes and then it goes away and there's a black blank window :facepalm. We can complain about Apple but so many of these other streaming services suck so bad it's not remotely close.

You can watch CBS Sports Golazo for free here or on Pluto (if it really is airing at 9:30 tomorrow...). Otherwise you can DVR the live broadcast on CBS Sports Network if your linear TV provider has the channel.

Yeah, I went to that first link there, and that's where I saw the 9:30 and the weird buggy behavior when I clicked. I'm gonna assume that at 10:00pm or whenever I get back from my class it'll just work.

Golazo is a free 24/7 streaming soccer channel that doesn't need any login, but there's something going wrong with that link for me, too. The Pluto link above works, and it also can be accessed by installing the CBS Sports app on any device. I can't find any schedule saying it will be tape delayed on Golazo, but I can't find a schedule saying it's not, either. It will be live on CBS Sports Network, which is a cable channel, but that only works if you get it.

Ah, of course. YouTubeTV, that's my answer. I cut my cable but subscribe to YouTubeTV, which will carry the game thru CBS Sports Network.

It's gonna be tight on this one - I have a girls JV game at 5 and a varsity game at 7 and it's cold and rainy. Can't say whether I'll feel like watching when I get home cold, wet, and tired...
