Fujita joined official to St. Pauli. 3,5 Mio € + 2 Mio Bonus fee. Absolutely record fee for St. Pauli and it looks like Yokota will join them too these days. https://www.fcstpauli.com/news/der-fc-st-pauli-verpflichtet-mittelfeldspieler-joel-chima-fujita/
Jepp, Yokota ist already seen in Hamburg. It's excepted, that the transfer will announced these days. Nice transfers from St. Pauli.
Hmm I am not that much, he is a Ligue 1 player for sure, it was a huge surprise that he decided to play the Bundesliga 2, cause he was starting to become a starter at Gent and was playing international with them and more important, starts to produce scorer points there. So it was a huge downgrade to go to Kaiserslautern, cause he switched the international stage for that. I think his plan was to get fast to the Bundesliga with that. His problem is a little his effectivity, even in the second Bundesliga he produce not that much but performance wise he was part-time a god there. When you watched their games, he was everywhere and was ripping hole defenses appart with his unreal dribblings but with to less earnings. On other hand he realize more opportunities for his team mates with his play style. But it looks like the move will fail to St. Pauli cause it seems that his injury is more serious then they thought and till today there is no official transfer. Nothing is decided yet but he was seen at Hamburg and 3-4 days later there is nothing official, so it looks worse, I would say. I think a Yokota is a good player, a crazy one. Reminds me a bit of Inui or maybe more of Mitoma. When he could develop to the Bundesliga, he will become huge, very underrated player.
Fujita also started for St.Pauli in the Cup against Norderstedt and played through. At the end Pauli won in the penalty shootouts. Fujita missed there 2 times in a row. First one was saved by the keeper but the keeper moved to early from the line, so Fujita get another chance but hit the post then. Very ridiculous. Overall from 10 counting penaltys, 5 players missed. On both sides combined. Didn't see the game, so don't know how Fujita played but Pauli overall, was not at their best I read.
By the way last week St. Pauli draws 3-3 with Dortmund, Fujita of course starts and made a good game. Today they won against rivals HSV alias Hamburg with 2-0. Fujita assisted the 2-0 with an awesome pass and made a great game today. He settled in extremely well, reminds me of Sano in terms of performance on point from the beginning.
Fujita is crazy. How good he was today in a 2-1 win over Augsburg. Hey was so strong on the defense, so sharp and so effective also in the offensive to lead the ball to the strikers. The German commentators also said he is incredible and could be MOTM today. I am really impressed what I saw today. Another Moriyasu mystery.
Fujita with a good game against Hoffenheim in the cup. St.Pauli won in the penaltys and Fujita converted. Very good season from him. We have plenty options in the CM/CDM. Endo, Morita, Kamada, Fujita, Sano, Hatate, A.Ito
Great Fujita Assist to make it 1-0 against Heidenheim. In the Cup, he also assisted one by the way. Great season so far, individual for him.
Ando starts yesterday vs Leipzig. At the first 20-30 minutes he had some problems, with the speed of their attackers, almost scored an own goal, as he try to defend a shot and deflect him unluckily but at the end he succeeded to defend allmost everything somehow. Was getting better and better with time. Pauli managed to get a 1-1 draw with was a fair result cause they played good. Fujita on the oder side made some worldclass passes and could have 2 assists as Jade Jones was in a 1vs1, 2x but didn't score. I watch often St.Paulis games and maybe it's only coincidence but Fujita played crazy offensive passes which often lead to a 1vs1. The last games he played behind the striker and every time I watch he looks very good. Maybe he could consider too as a No 10 ? Somebody knows more about him? Was he playing that position in the past ?
Oh wow, that's surprising but why not ? I am not a big fan of Hara, and I doubt he could do well in Bundesliga but who knows ? He is a giant and still relatively young. So it's not impossible. I remember him from his time at Spain and Belgium. Do you think he developed in Japan the last years ? And more important do you think he could become a JNT material or Bundesliga prospect ? Don't get me wrong or unrespectful, can't say anything about Hara the last years but this transfer reminds me a little of Kisho Yano to Freiburg 2010.
He has surely improved since his earlier move to Europe . At some points last year, he was playing better than any left wing on the JNT outside of Mitoma or Nakamura. He joined the NT for the EAFF-E -1 Football championship. He came on late, maybe around 75 minute or so and totally changed the game. His ability to head the ball to start the attack and cross the ball are at the top of J league level. I do not know Yano, but I know transfers are a tricky thing, so many factors are involved, for some it is perfect, they were waiting for the higher competition, for others, just cannot deal with it. I hope it goes well for him. He is a great player, key to Sanga's success. Very sad to lose him.
Very interesting, so he played often in the wing ? And not as a striker ? Is he agile with his height ? By the way Tomoa Ando was Kickers MOTM against Leipzig. He got a 2,5 from 6 which. In Germany, a 1 is the best (very hard to get) so the 2,5 is very good.
Yes, Elias was the striker. He scored a lot of goals this season, near the top of J League and several were from very good passes from Hara.
Sounds good and why not. Could be a good move and he will get his chances as well, cause St. Paulis strikers are not that effective.
