And what was reported by the Qatari media back in June is now confirmed by FIFA: https://www.fifa.com/en/tournaments...025/articles/qatar-confirmed-final-phase-host
And the Copa Libertadores final is set: Palmeiras (BRA) - Flamengo (BRA) Palmeiras overcame a 3:0 deficit in the second leg against LDU Quito (who earlier eliminated both, defending champions Botafogo and Sao Paulo). It is therefore assured that Brazil will win a record-extending seven titles in a row and equalise Argentina’s 25 titles in the tournament’s history.
any idea when tickets are supposed to go on sale for this? In all honestly not as keen as in past years as I've pretty much seen most of these teams before but will probably wind up going anyway.... the final is taking place the day before the Arab Cup final is to be played and the quarter final and semi.... erm sorry I mean the "derby of the Americas" and the "Challenger Cup" take place the day before and after the Arab Cup quarter finals. I'm assuming Pyramids players won't be available for Egypt during that tournament.
They haven’t even announced the final venue. So Qatar is hosting the U-17 World Cup, Arab Cup, and Intercontinental Cup. All in close succession and with some overlap. Where is the sense in that?
Tickets are on sale: https://qna.org.qa/en/news/news-det...final-matches-tickets-on-sale&date=15/11/2025 Looks like all three Qatar based matches will be at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.
Yes honestly that's good news for me as that's one of my favorite stadiums and easier to get to and back from. Lusail Stadium will hold the Arab Cup final the day after this final so I guess that's why. There's also the F1 going on in a couple of minutes with concerts by Seal and... I'll believe it when I finally see it.... Metallica apparently!
Flamengo won Copa Libertadores on Saturday and will play Cruz Azul on December 10. Before that, they have their final two league matches, where they are trying to wrap up the title with currently a 5-point lead. Just like Botafogo last year, they will have three days from the league finale to the match in Qatar. Cruz Azul just advanced tonight to the Liga MX playoff semifinal. If they reach the final, they will have a schedule conflict. I guess Liga MX would postpone the final until they come back from Qatar?
Yup - it's already been confirmed that if Cruz Azul make it that far, we're getting another Christmastime Liga MX Final like when América and Monterrey had to come back late...
Yup, against América The wilas, on the other hand, followed up their early CWC exit in 2015 by losing that epic final against Tigres.
