    Full-time:

    Seattle - PSG 0:2
    Botafogo - Atleti 0:1

And it ends with a three-way tie at six points, but Atletico Madrid go home. PSG wins the group.

    I don’t mind the Sounders.

They are a well supported team, with a (for American standards) long history, and out of the three MLS teams they are the only one to truly have earned their spot in the competition.

I do not like Seattle because of Drew Carey and the Prcie is Right. It was better when Bob Barker was host.

Unless he's gone full nazi, Drew Carey gets a pass for "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

Now that I think about it, Botafogo kinda dropped the ball. Instead of facing Inter Miami, a meh Porto team or Al Ahly, they'll most likley have to face Palmeiras. That's tough.

Well, at least that guarantees at least one Brazilian team in QF, so that’s kind of cool if you look at it that way!

I guess. Though Botafogo would most likely have steamrolled any of those three.

For all we know, in the other scenario Palmeiras would have lost to PSG, and who is to say Botafogo wouldn’t have lost to Porto and then neither would be in QFs? This may be the best option for having a CONMEBOL representative in the final 8

Yes, I know Porto is “weak”, but you never know. I mean, who had Botafogo beating PSG, right? Plus, Palmeiras couldn’t get past Porto, so really it’s not extremely far fetched that the Portuguese could have eliminated Bota (even if it were by penalties).

We’ll see, but I think if you would have asked either team if they’d rather face another Brasileirao team in knockouts or someone from Europe, they probably would have said one of their own

Although, the way things are going, they'd have to face Inter Miami which they'd most likely crush.

I kind of get your point, but the only way Porto could finish 2nd is if Palmeiras loses to Inter Miami (and Porto wins). And if that happens, well... Botafogo will play Inter Miami instead of Porto by dropping to second place. :geek:

I don't see Palmeiras losing to Inter Miami.

Well, OK. But it's almost certainly Inter that advance from this group along with Palmeiras.

Would be pretty unlikely but also exciting if there is another viable scenario still possible at about 22h30 ET tonight.

The moment seems too big for Palmeiras right now. Which is saying a lot cause they have played in a lot of big games over the years.

Well so much for a Brazilian match-up in knockouts, at least for now :ROFLMAO:

Palmeiras-PSG would be a good game, though

    Could have been a penalty.

If you would have told me a few weeks ago that Miami would have almost 60 % of possession at HT against a very good Brazilian team I would have said you are crazy.
    I cannot believe it.

Palmeiras is in a precarious position. Do they push forward and harder and get susceptible to a counter? That could really hurt them in goal difference.
    Going to be very exciting.

Don't they have the head to head tiebreaker on Al Ahly? I guess the danger is a Porto comeback

Which is a real danger. Al Ahly looks very open at the back. 4-2 well within the relm of possibilities.

Edit. As I say that, Ah Ahly score. Still say this game is so open, anything can happen.
