So seeing the AFCON lists : Algeria selected 4 players who played the Arab Cup Comoros 5 Tunisia 14 Soudan 16 Morocco 0 but that was known, the A team coach even prevented the A' to select 55 players in case he needs one of them.

well finally went to my first game of the Arab Cup, Morocco 3-0 UAE. Kind of a game of 2 halves, Morocco dominant in the first half, UAE pressed better in the 2nd but fell apart in the end. UAE's goalkeeper was huge against Algeria in the last game, but thought he could have done better with the first two goals. Anyway, Morocco v Jordan is a good final - AFC v CAF showdown. Morocco looking for their second Arab Cup title, Jordan in their first final and returning to Lusail Iconic Stadium after suffering Asian Cup final heartbreak almost 2 years ago at that same venue.
Good job from Jamal Sellami against Herve Renard, the two coaches know each other well and have a good relationship from when Renard used to coach Morocco NT. At that time Sellami was coach of the league based Morocco NT that played the African Championship and he was councelling Renard on the locally based players to pick in the NT. Now Sellami is facing a squad he knows very well so that's an advantage for Jordan. Anyway it will be in an interesting showdown between two Moroccan coaches who know each other well.
yeah just saw he was still here the game is stopped due to heavy rain btw, I wonder if the final will be postponed

Great goal to take the lead for Morocco. I kind of had Jordan down as a possible shock winner, but they really had a bad start to the first half. I'm sitting this final out having opted for last night's Intercontinental Cup Final but have a lot of friends who braved the rain for both this match. The weather has been awful in Doha today so not really the ideal condition for a game like this.
Got to be honest, one worry I had about Morocco was after seeing their semifinal vs UAE, they were by far the better team in the first half but only got one goal. In the second half, they really let UAE take control for large parts of the second half but the Emiratis didn't really have the quality to take advantage in the end, and Morocco ultimately added two late clinching goals. A more clinical side can take advantage of that sloppy second half performance which ultimately Jordan have done. Anyway, 10 more minutes to go now.
Jordan just scored and made it 3-2 but ref ruled it out for handball. Shame because it was a really great goal. Jordan have really been good since the last Asian Cup
