I actually quite like this club World Cup tournament Groups will be good fun seeing random teams play Knockouts onwards will be a very high standard
I’m very excited for this. More club football to watch and frankly, it’s a lot more interesting than all the previous “World Cup test” tournaments.

He knows the limitations. Suarez also mentioned that MLS doesn't allow teams to prepare for tournaments like this.
It’s partly MLS and it’s partly Mascherano’s ineptitude. I wouldn’t be shocked if Inter gave up 15 goals. If good MLS teams chop them up as often as not, legit elite teams should be able to do it at will.
All of which is absolute bollox!! It's no different to any other fan base, I bet you think it rains everyday in London and we all have bad teeth too!
When he was hired away for Miami, Argentina fans considered it a major plus for their youth sides, needless to say. It's really odd how bad his teams are on that side of the pitch given his playing career. I guess it's another example of personal talent making you take certain things for granted.
Palmeiras fans going crazy in NYC. I was told no one cared about the CWC? pic.twitter.com/4w4H9zuehF— MLS Moves (@MLSMoves) June 14, 2025 What can MLS/NYCFC/NYRB do to win all those fans over in NYC? There are many soccer fans here but for some reason aren't interested in MLS/USL/USMNT.
Keep improving rosters/transfers and take international competition more seriously instead of finding excuses to preemptively pooh pooh it and wondering why people care. Only way to show the quality has improved compared to their teams back home and at least be worthy as a second team to follow is on the scoreboard. But it's gonna take a lot of time still I understand.
If you don’t understand where exactly RBA/Sports Illustrated Stadium is located, then let me tell you, it’s literally walking distance for many of the Palmeiras fans in Newark. And Flamengo has even more fans than Palmeiras here lol
