Last year, we led the league in GD at +32, were #2 in the SS, we were 2nd in goals scored at 72. We made the CCC finals & won League Cup. This year, we got bounced immediately in CCC, we are tied for 6th in GD, are #4 in the SS race, and tied for 11th in goals scored. Charlotte is the best team we've beaten. It was at home, and they sit 8th. We have not defeated a single team the would make the POs if the season ended today. I guess you could count the Leg 2 game vs LAFC, but since we got bounced in the tie and they were up 3-0, I really don't. Anyone who thinks we are doing better this year needs to have their heads examined, IMHO. Having said that, we are hanging in there. But I expect us to tumble down the standings through July. I'd love to be dead wrong about that.
I literally said we need a #9 that costs millions of dollars. And last time I checked, Miami hasn't won the league with Messi, and we are only 2 points behind Cincy despite having an incomplete roster. We're doing alright.
It’s still May and we have 6 points in 4 matches not a good month so far and anything less than 3 points is disappointing and Nashville & @ Miami won’t be easy
Looks like he was right about May , I was very concerned about this month but I thought by getting Gazdag we would up our level but instead we are still inconsistent and lack the goal scoring without Cucho. The next 2 games won’t be any easier , getting 3 points over Nashville is critical.
6 points in 5 matches this month is not a recipe for success. Some of us warned about schedule congestion but it fell on deaf ears who said we have ambition and to trust the process ( a very slow one I might add)
I guess you're a dumb bitch. Here's his prediction: I guess we're below the line? Oh, we aren't? Dammit!
Jesus. Only people on this board could criticize a guy for a bad performance when the player in question was held out of the lineup and didn't play. God. Blame the coach for that. [ (hears voice from other side of room) What? Gazdag WAS on the field last night? Are you sure? He STARTED? Was he the goalie? NO? Hmm.]
Lol yeah he went overboard I forgot his prediction was so bad i thought it was similar to mine which it is not. But we haven’t hit the summer yet so I hope he is wrong. I might be dumb sometimes but I ain’t never been a bitch so watch your mouth unless you can back it up because you wouldn’t say that to my face without consequences. You must be drunk but you need to chill.
He hasn’t done enough but every player is different and it was a difficult situation for him moving his family and I think honestly he is trying really hard and is just not in sync with the program yet. However before the seasons out I believe he will contribute more and next season he should excel.
I agree that he'll contribute more, simply because it'd be pretty difficult for him to contribute less than he already has. I only partly buy the argument that he's struggling because of the new team/chemistry. I'm sure it's true to a degree, but he's supposed to be a goal scorer. The goals are the same size and they're in the same place no matter who your teammates are. And some of his struggles have just been flat-out not executing in front of goal, which should be the same no matter who got the ball to you. Your contention about the system would certainly apply more to the last couple matches, because he's barely been involved.
I think part of it is overthinking and not being comfortable or confident. Everyone is different and Jordan wasn’t happy with the triangle offense at first. We have had other players struggle while some immediately flourished. He is too good to turn into a bum. He just needs to break the ice and scoring a few goals will boost his confidence and overtime his comfort level is almost certain to increase.
Nope i didn’t even see a replay of the injury but hopefully he will be back soon but I highly doubt Moreira or Schulte play tomorrow
Steffen also out with an oblique. I feel Schulte was carrying something like this for a while. FBref credited Hagen with a post shot xG+/- of +1.9. Meaning he saved 2 goals more than expected. He played that corner terribly, even if Zaha's service was great. Ive never seen a goalkeeper quite do what he did.
