Our yellow clad heroes go again into the murky waters of CONCACAF. Will we avenge our stomachs? Will someone tear something on one of the worst pitches in the history of professional soccer? Thanks to our still #1 CONCACAF Ranking as of today, we are placed into the first Match-up of the R16. Draw: Tomorrow, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. Where: Miami TV: The YouTube Discuss! https://www.concacaf.com/champions-...unces-procedures-for-2025-champions-cup-draw/
I'd love to get some non-MLS/Mexican opposition in the Round of 16. Two wins would start off the quest for homefield later nicely.
The other team seeded into our section of the bracket is the Caribbean champion, Cavalier from Jamaica.
The bracket seems to be really set up to our advantage as the #1 seed coming in. We'd get Cavalier in a potential quarterfinal match up (no guarantee they'd win their first matchup) and the Top 3 seeds not getting byes also were placed in other sections of the bracket. Seeds of teams with byes: 1. Columbus 2. America 3. LA Galaxy 4. Alajuelense 5. Cavalier Protected 3 seeds without a bye: 1. Monterrey 2. UANL (Tigres) 3. Cruz Azul

LAFC in our section in A1. Miami placed in A2. Our likely path to the Final would likely be LAFC/Inter Miami/Rayados. No easy path again this year.
On the bright side, no Mexican teams until the semis at the earliest, and all the MLS teams will still be shaking off preseason rust (or Miami may be recovering from a world tour). Regardless, we're gonna win the whole damn thing. Let's gooooooo!
LAFC yet again? Though I guess Colorado may be just as likely. LAFC at Colorado in February could be wild. I'm not sure the dates are 100% confirmed, but presumably the Crew will have a road game at either Denver or LA on March 4, 5, or 6, and the Crew will host that team on March 11-13.
You continue to beat that drum despite being 100% wrong and me being 100% right. We flamed out and the Galaxy won it. But carry on anyway.
Our path is almost certainly: R16: LAFC QF: Miami SF: Monterrey/PUMAS No easy ones there. Beating Miami would really be nice.
Because it, and your pedantry, are hilarious. "Columbus Crew Lacks Ambition" is the joke that keeps on giving.
