Would this be a good place to discuss tickets and travel plans? I've set my sight on catching 3-4 games in the group phase, probably in Rabat/Fes/Casablanca...

Would you think tix would be hard to get (I assume Morocco as the host might be in demand, but for the less glamorous teams I assume it's doable)? Anyone with experience from the past CANs?

Me and my son will travel to Morocco for AFCON. Looks like 27 des - 3 jan, with this rough plan.

    27/12 Arrive in Marrakech

28/12 Ivory Coast v Cameron in Marrakech.

29/12 Train to Rabat for Morocco v Zambia

30/12 Train to Fes for Nigeria v Uganda or Tangier for Senegal v Benin

31/12 Back to Rabat for Algerie v Equatorial Guinea. Then celebrate new Years eve.

    1/1 & 2/1 Tourist in Casablanca & Marrakech before going home 3/1.

I would guess tickets will be quite ok to get, except maybe for Morocco..but they will play in a big stadium with 76.000 seats. Last AFCON tickets got in sale only a few months before, but with it being in Morocco it would be more popular. Would guess the tickets will come on sale maybe 6 months before?

Hotels is no problem in the big cities, and trains are quite cheap as well. (But its my first time to Morocco, so who knows..) Hopefully transport to/from stadiums will be efficient, because that is my biggest concern as they usually is quite a bit from the city centre.

Tickets should be fairly easy to get for any team not Morocco. In the past there were plenty of empty seats for some first round matches, although this last afcon had pretty full stadiums and was their all time leader in terms of revenue.

I predicted CIV to win last time.

Morocco will be heavy favorites given

    1. They are hosts
    2. They are the best team player for player
    3. North African teams usually win afcons in North Africa.

It will be interesting to see if any team can stop them.

On paper Morocco har huge favourites. They have players, Home field advantage, and they have been good and consistent for some years now.
Somehow the obvious thing in Africa never really happens. But lets see. It would be a huge disappointment if Morocco doesnt win at Home

I have been trying but the app keeps crushing. Maybe now that all the host tickets are sold out, maybe traffic will slow down and enable me to get in and buy

Thanks for your response! I didn't try yet, but I will within the next days. I want to go to the Round of 16 matches in Agadir and Marrakech. It's good to connect for me by flying to Agadir and returning from Marrakech.

The next ticket sale starts on October 25. Make sure your Fan ID is ready because it’s required to buy tickets. Try to be early in the queue! There’s huge demand for Morocco’s games, including the possible path to the final. If you’re interested in other matches, some of them are already available on the platform.

Looking for the opener, no luck in today’s phase as well. Will there be another phase or last minutes like the World Cup?
