Fafa from Miami to ATL. Has anyone played for more mls teams than Fafa Picault has since 2019/2020? He had 2seasons at HOU since he left Philly after 2019, but moved every year aside from that. So, moved 6 out of 7 years!!!

Is SKC going to play half the season with 20 players? Season starts this weekend and some teams still treating it as if the off season runs till July. No urgency at all from some teams.
From an interview in the Sports Business Journal with Don Garber. You have laid out your vision for “MLS 3.0,” and reforming roster construction rules is a key pillar. Are you confident those changes will be in place by the calendar shift? GARBER: Our goal is to have any changes that we’re making by the calendar change. Our Sporting and Competition Committee will meet next month and bring some suggestions before our full board in April. This is a major priority for the league. The new roster strategy has a number of tentpole elements to it: signing world-class players, having a strong investment in the pro player pathway to ensure that we have a robust homegrown strategy and giving our teams a bit more flexibility in being able to manage their rosters in ways that are indicative of the evolution of our league over the last number of years.

Rapids loan LB Miguel Navarro from Talleres with an option to buy https://www.coloradorapids.com/news...l-navarro-on-loan-from-club-atletico-talleres A true WTF moment from the Rapids FO. The quick version: Colorado traded Gutman to the Fire and acquired Navarro and GAM in Dec. 23. They signed LB Sam Vines in Jan of 24, making Navarro expendable. So they loaned him to Tallares for 2024 with an option to buy, which was exercised at the end of 2024. They then acquired LB Rafael Santos in August of 25 when Vines wasn't working out. They declined Santos' option at the end of the season and he recently signed with St. Louis. Vines is, apparently, still not working out so they've loaned Navarro back with an option to buy, a player they controlled just 16 months ago but sold.
Nashville acquired Dallas homegrown fullback Malachi Molina on a loan with an option to buy. Nashville SC Acquires Defender Malachi Molina and 2028 SuperDraft Pick in Trade with FC Dallas - OurSports Central Molina was born in Miami, but has played with Jamaica U17 and U20s. Is the Reed Baker-Whiting deal dead??? That was reported days ago, but I've never seen it announced.

The Crew may be bringing in André Gomes from Lille: https://onefootball.com/fr/news/andre-gomes-close-to-lille-exit-with-columbus-move-looming-42430686 This was also reported by a longtime local sports columnist in Columbus, Michael Arace, which makes the rumor feel pretty legit.
Nope! RBW has been officially transferred to NCSC. $800k upfront and 300k in incentives + 20% sell-on. https://www.sounderatheart.com/2026/02/reed-baker-whiting-officially-moved-to-nashville-sc/ Also included in the article is a quick factoid that the Sounders have sold 4 homegrowns for about $7 million (not including sell-ons) in the last year.

The MLS website article says it is the 3rd homegrown Seattle have sold - Vargas and Leyva are the others. Not sure who the 4th would be from the Sounder at Heart article.
Three this offseason. The fourth was Josh Atencio, who was sold to Colorado at the start of last season for $1.3m in GAMl and an additional $300k in incentives.
FC Dallas is buying out Paxton Pomykal. I forgot he was only 26, but didn't realize he was making over $1M.
I wouldn't agree that making 7 figures in your mid-twenties is a dead career. It may have stopped him reaching his potential.

Took that deal long enough to happen. I wonder how long it'll take before Sargent is in the lineup once everything is actually finalized.
